BEC STUDY FOR EXAM

    Hello,

I am taking BEC in 3 weeks (hopefully my last one!). Becker self-study. Scores are mostly 70’s on HW and am starting review as I have finished B1-B6. I thought I would re-read the book for concept, then formulas, then WC. I cannot remember formulas long term, especially if I do not use them. I worry about this section because I get questions that were never covered in the materials or covered but not applied clearly to the given question. I am close to as ready as I can be but I am still concerned. Anyone feel this way and/or have any tips? The formulas, I will have to wait till closer to the exam but concepts will likely stick in my mind longer. I don’t know what else to do, this is not like the other 3 sections which I passed the first time.

    Thank you.

Sounds like you are in good shape and looking at your previous scores, I dont think you have anything to worry about. I had to make flashcards for all the BEC calculation. I probably had thousands of them, it was the only way I could remember everything. Dont let anyone tell you that the exam is “mostly conceptual” because I have seen this a lot on the forum and you cant rely on that…I found this out in July when I took it. I am so glad I memorized all those flashcards with all the computations.

FYI – I didn’t spend much time in Chapter 6 and I dont think I even finished all the homework, honestly.

Here is a link to where someone posted a list of BEC calculations:

    Good Luck!!

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 74, 74
    BEC - 83
    REG - TBD

Thank you njvath for responding. 3 weeks from today is the big day. Now I cannot seem to remember what I did 2 months ago. Started reviewing finance and I forgot already. Is this normal? I never had this problem with the other three sections. Crazy…..
