Becker has dumped the lecture on sims – as it doesn’t exist and i’ve done them all. To be honest, Becker has dropped the ball on BEC, and somewhat had done so with REG.

What I have learned on previous forum posts is that while technical knowledge will be assessed it is much more important to just stay on topic and keep to a structure.

In essence, if you simply talk about the issue in a coherent way, don’t babble, and demonstrate that you know SOMETHING and have a “gist” of the sim’s topic – you’re solid.

Is this correct? Or is the grading of the sims based more upon covering a list of pre-determined facts.

What I am really curious about is if you just said something that made sense and didn’t say anything “wrong” is that ideal?

Not saying something wrong is much easier than saying everything and everything that’s true. My guess would have been that the exam actually cares about what you know more than how you say it (and are merely on the right path) …

I think that is probably right. It obviously helps to know something about the topic, but you have to remember these are computer graded as long as you are not on the bubble. Rephrase the question, insert a few things you know, and make sure it makes sense and your grammar and spelling are correct.

That's what I've heard and that's the plan I've stuck to (I test Wednesday). I've done a couple practice WC, but I didn't want to waste precious study time when I already know how to write and I have absolutely no clue what my topics are going to be on the actual exam. Especially since it's only 15% of my score, I'm focusing on learning the material, then I'm just going to rephrase the writing prompts into my answer and add whatever extra I can add with the time I have left. I asked a similar question when I first started studying for BEC, and a couple people who passed said they used the same kind of approach.
