BEC Retake…Help

Got my score last week and it was the dreaded 74 (talk about a punch in the gut!!). So now I’m going to retake BEC in January, but I think I’m faced with a problem. I used the yaeger lectures/wiley book, plus gleim software for mcqs. But these are all for 2011, so I’m wondering, will re-using the 2011 version of these be sufficient to pass the 2012 BEC exam? How much does the exam change year-to-year? When do the new materials come out, is it prior to January of the next year? Do these companies offer discounted prices if you bought the previous year and didn’t pass? Any information regarding these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Not exactly a club I really want to be a member of, but at least I'm not alone in my misery I guess…lol. Any thoughts on my dilema?

Can't you order 2012 materials through Becker since you didn't pass in 2011 under the Becker promise?

I used yaeger/wiley, and gleim, not becker. Does yaeger have any kind of deal where you can get 2012 at a discount if you didn't pass the prior year? And when would those materials come out, I'm taking BEC again in mid-January?

Cool, I'm gonna contact them, thanks. I wonder when the new materials are available.

Becker sent me my materials by november. So I'm assuming yaeger will do the same thing.

You're looking at December at the very earliest based on years past.

I e-mailed Yaeger, and an employee named Sonny responded that the no pass guarrantee (where you get the next years videos if you don't pass) only applies if you buy all four sections from them. So I guess I'm out of luck on getting updated videos. He did, however, say that they already have indications from the AICPA that very little is going to change on the 2012 BEC exam, and said he thought the 2011 materials would work fine. He also said he'd send me their cram study materials for BEC for free, which is pretty cool.
