Can anyone give me some last minute tips for this exam? Especially for the writing portion. I am not really sure what to expect there.

Well, I just passed BEC (barely). For the WC, I only wrote around 6-7 sentences for each, however, I do NOT recommend you do this. The opening paragraph should be around 2-3 sentences where you basically introduce yourself and repeat the question. The middle paragraph is where you answer the question and should be 4 to 5 sentences or more. The conclusion paragraph should be 2 maybe 3 sentences where you tell them how much you appreciate them and how you can be reached.

Honestly, if you can get at least 80% on the MC. You only need like 50% on the WC. So basically if you have an introduction and closing, that should be at least 40%. Just put some Bull S*** in the middle if you don't know the answer.

I would look at some of the WC from your exam preps if you are that concerned.

That's a good idea, but I don't know how to put that into words, since you're supposed to be writing to someone that you already know.

The first para should be repetition of what has been requested for. 2 sentences.

The second para should be about the pros and cons or advice about the matter. No bullet points and no numbers points

Third para should reiterate the requirement and try to affirm you suggestion along with offer to help.

5 minutes on thinking 10 minutes to type it in. 15 mins per WC.

That's literally all I did for the WC portion. Just try to get at least 80% on the MC and you should be fine.

BTW, I don't think I Aced the MC either. There were like 12-16 questions I was not sure about.

Cuz at the top of the Becker SIMS, it automatically puts:

To: xxx

From: zzzz

Should we say – Dear so-and-so?

That's usually an intro for a letter, and not a memo or email, correct?

Nope you don't put dear…. Just with your opening paragraph which us basically a repeat of what is asked. Check out the recommended answers for the WC and follow that format.
