BEC – Jeff's Notes and MCQs enough to study?

This is my 3rd time taking BEC. I have about a month (11/29) to go. My plan was to study Jeff’s notes and just hit as many MCQ’s as I can through Wiley and cpareviewforfree.com. And then, depending on how I perform on areas on the mcq’s, perhaps watch the Yaeger lectures for those areas again and then keep doing MCQ’s. I just kind of feel watching ALL the yaeger lectures again will be a waste of time. Please share your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    David

I think your study plan sounds good, especially since it's not your first time looking at this material. This is my first time taking BEC – I've done all the Becker lectures and am working on all the MCQ's now. I have Jeff's ninja notes-which I'm going to study/re-write for areas I'm struggling with. I also have the Wiley test bank, so I'm going to use those MCQ's.

I'm a little nervous about the WC part – how have you prepared for it previously?

@pattibelle: Don't worry about the WC. Focus on correct grammar and punctuation and hitting the key words that were used in the questions to prove that you're “on point”. Stay away from contractions and abbreviations at all costs. Even “US GAAP” should be written out as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles of the United States. Also, do not used bullet points or lists, stick to block paragraphs. It'll be the easiest 15 points you'll earn throughout the entire CPA journey!
