Everything accounting related that I loathe was thrown into BEC. Let me change that…the IT in my opinion is actually manageable. But that’s where it ends.

Did anyone really struggle with BEC and pass on the 1st or 2nd try?

I finished watching Overhead Variances and after 3 minutes into the lecture, Roger started speaking Greek. I’m not joking. I think I got the foreign version or something.

Cost accounting is the worse thing in the world. Am I alone? I’m in hell here people. 🙁

yes I did and i can relate to you.. I HATED cost accounting.. which is the entire reason i took BEC first. But the key is doing MCQ's.. keep doing them until you feel overprepared for the exam.. I passed on my first try and i was absolutely certain i had failed it. the writing portion saved me (got stronger) and i never studied for the wrting portion.. it was easy. good luck to you. I used Becker btw.

Thanks. So there's hope? I'm going to pound out the mcq's like I'm Mike Tyson then. I think I should have taken it first too. People just talked about FAR being the hardest which I do understand because there is just so much material in FAR…but BEC is just hard!

BEC is also so random. Im using Becker and honestly feels like the test makers (not sure what to call them) figured out FAR, REG, AUD and then every and anything that was left over they threw into BEC. I mean Internal Control, Job Costing and Econ…. WTF

HATED BEC! I'm waiting on my score now… Could not get the variances to stick AT ALL!! The econ part was failry understandable but the rest was YUCKY!!! REG seems like cake compared to the BEC beast…

Kassius my friend, you hit the nail on the head. BEC is like the garbage can of the entire exam.

My fear is that the next chapter is going to be on physics or something…but luckily I'm getting to the end and nothing yet.

Yeah I took mine yesterday.

Spent so much time on the calculations…really f*cked up on the writing left 20 min. Seriously, I had an intro sentence in each one. A middle “paragraph” consisting of a topic sentence and a sentence restating the info in the question. Then a conclusion sentence which were all some version of “Please let me know if you would like to discuss this in further detail…..”etc closing, then signature. Format check, content..ZERO. I doubt I passed.
