I have only been studying for two weeks. My test is 1/17/12. This section seems rougher than REG to me. I made it thru 2 of 6 modules so far. (Corporate governance and Economic Concepts) The IT is rough too, based upon some sample questions I sampled. Someone help me gain some confidence. Is this just beginners nerves with the section or am I screwed? Each question other than the interest rate stuff seems like a brain strain. Is this really the easiest part? I hope not. Reg was easier for me due to my background.

I felt like BEC was easier as far as the material itself, it was just soooooo boring studying was hard so I avoided it and procrastinated more.

Thanks Mandy, the econ was ok so far, but yea boring. I am more nervous about this part than the other three. Maybe eventually it will sink in. Best of luck with your journey.

BEC is the shortest and most concentrated part.

There are so many small topics that it felt confusing, hard to organize and remember.

Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience (hope I finally passed it!).

I'd say AUD was easier to study.

BEC is pretty tricky. Out of all the exams, I felt the most time pressure on this one. Lets hope I passed. Everyone says its the easiest, but I disagree – it was hard. Maybe that is because I took it last and my motivation went down the drain… who knows. But, the topics are definitely challenging.

I've taken them all and BEC is the most difficult section. BEC is likely going to prevent me from getting the CPA designation.

My advice would be to greatly familiarize yourself with all of the calculations.
