Taking BEC in 3 days and I feel overwhelmed by all the material. Also worried about forgetting important formulas. Any last minute advice before my anxiety turns me into a no show :'(

Do NOT not show up:) Review your variances, write all the formulas you remember off the top of your head on a piece of paper, and review the ones you can't seem to recall. and just keep doing your MCQs🙂 Good luck! BEC isn't terirble. Oh, don't ignore IT and COSO stuff:)

Just remember you ONLY need to be better prepared than 45% of the people taking the test (historically speaking).
You invested the time and prepared properly, so just rely on your instincts.
Figure out what the question is asking. Try to eliminate 2 of the answers immediately, then use your skills to pick the best choice.
You got this. Just keep plugging away between now and then.
No MCQs the day before the exam, just review notes or book, and formulas.
If you are having trouble with a formula, write out the formula every time you encounter a question with the formula, twice if you have to.
Eventually it will just be second nature.

My suggestion is to study every single moment before the actual exam. Reading the notes/book is probably a good idea. Listen to the lectures/audio. Work some MCQs. Anything that will reinforce your knowledge and will NOT stress you out (more).

I know it is easier to say than do it, but try to be positive.

Get enough sleep a night before the exam!! Tell yourself, “…. I will pass this exam”

Do NOT get discouraged during the exam. Be prepared that regardless of your studying, you ARE going to face some difficulties. It is never easy!

I will be in your shoes in a month!

    Good luck!

Make a cheat sheet of formulas on one index card and commit it to memory.

For BEC I spent the intro screen quickly brain dumping all important formulas I had any fear that would leak out (mostly the cost accounting variances).

Believe me, this little technique can probably be the difference between passing and failing. I did not do this at first and got a 74. My next BEC attempt I passed with a 85. YMMV.

You should know what works best for you by this time. Stick to it, dont question it, and just go for it. You got this.

BEC has a broad umbrella of material, try to isolate and master each section, realize that they are not all connected together like all of the other sections and you will do well. I have faith, do well!

My recommendation for this part, or any part:

Look at the TBS and DRS on the AICPA website's sample exam. They are there for a reason and will help you get situated for how the actual exam works. Last thing you want to be doing is wasting valuable time trying to navigate the various screens in those types of questions.
