You know how on each section of the exam, there’s always ONE topic that just kills you? Well Cost Accounting is my BEC demon. I run about 50-60% correct on Wiley/CPAReviewForFree test banks.
Just wanted to hear some opinions — in your experience, was this sub-topic tested heavily in recent exams? The CSOs list Operations Management (of which Cost Measurement is one of four parts) at 12%-16%.
If I run the math — getting 50% of questions right that form 25% of a portion of the exam that is worth 12%-16% of your total score… I figure my exposure is ~1.5 – 2%.
I plan on hitting this topic hard, but if it’s just not sinking in, I may be sacrificing more effective study in other areas where I could use my time to add more points.
Any suggestions? Was this tested heavily for you? Should I just ditch it? Or should I not go on until I can get my % up to 75 or so?
Thanks!
