BEC: How Much Time to Allocate for Written TBS? - Page 2

    Hello,

For those who have taken BEC how much time should a person allocate for the written portion of the exam? Since it only counts for 15% of the exam the mathmatical answer should be 27 minutes(180 minutes * 15%).

Would I feel rushed if I tried to allocate 45 minutes? It sounds tough to write anything presentable in 15 minutes(per task)?

Passed all 4 exams in 2014!

I believe that I write well, but when it comes to having something to say in the writing examples, I go blank.

In my practice writing examples, I usually say about –

    1 sentence in the opening

    3-4 sentences in the middle

    2 sentences in the closing.

My answers seem WAY too basic. I mostly just don't seem to know enough about the topic to have anything to say.

    Any advice ????

40-45 minutes is good. Provides a cushion.
