I take BEC on Friday, so I can't speak from experience yet. However, one lady in my REG class who did take it strongly recommended to not blow off the addendum

TwinCPA – I would suggest reading over the Technical Addendum. I didn't spend alot of time on it, but I think reading over it may give you some familiarity that will help you with a few questions. I encountered alot of IT on my exam.

PFFT i took BEC yesterday, with becker and i was looking at that stuff like…… what???? I totally bombed!!!!

Took BEC this morning; Only a few questions contained content that I had never seen. The questions definately got harder as the testlets progressed; which I think is a good thing. All in all, I have no idea of how I did? These tests are impossible to predict!

CPAequalsHBP, glad to hear you didn't get any big surprises. Just to know though, BEC is not adaptive, meaning that the testlets don't get harder or easier depending on your performance. It's the only one that way… I agree with you, they are quite impossible to predict.

LOL magic_8_ball_did_i_pass, glad I've made you feel better. I don't know why BEC is this way, but it certainly is good to know. We psych ourselves out enough as it is on the other three trying to figure out if the testlets were harder or not. For the life of me I could not tell if my AUD testlets got harder or not!

Now, that is really funny, magic_8_ball_did_i_pass!! I wish I was that brilliant, then the whole thing would just be easy. I am just blessed to have been able to devote a lot of time for these exams. AUD was my least favorite (not that any are really favorites) because everything is so wishy-washy. Almost every question is about what is most likely or least likely. Comm'on, I took up accounting because I like precision and AUD subject matter was just too vague for me. Good luck with your exams, I'm sure you'll do great!

hey everybody!! anybody out there left to take BEC? i am taking it this sat (march 6). i have been dragging out this exam since january!! last one i took was REG on 11/30. so it's time to keep moving lol.

i am using becker and think that a lot of the questions in chapter 5 are INSANE. so my plan is to kinda skip over those because i am thinking more likely than not i won't see those types of questions and if i do…i won't remember how to do them anyway! i am in the middle of chapter 5 now. still have to to the supplemental questions for chapter 3 as well, read the IT addendum and do the final exams. i think i will make it, though! these exams are so unpredictable!

I took the BEC exam the end of January. Got my result yesterday morning – 75%!!! Couldn't believe it but happy none the less! I used Becker and this was my second attempt. The first time, I had managed 71%.

Is BEC the easiest section? I thought maybe given that it is only 5 chapters and there is no written portion.
