Not to be a salesman, but I bought that resultswatch software for $9.99 after the Wave 2 REG meltdown last quarter.

Poor Jeff was about to jump out the window with that one!

For the $9.99, it's worth it in my opinion. I am not hovering around my computer for a week straight. I'll get an e-mail on my Blackberry minutes after it hits the NASBA site.

If you have a decent number of exams left, do it. For 4 exams you're only looking at like $2.50 an exam.

I was totally against it until the issue last quarter. When you think about it…I spend $10 if I buy lunch at work one day. Worth it for the amount of time and effort I've put into this. Why put myself through more?

Ok, here's the real question of the hour. His many of us are secretly monitoring this BEC forum, even though we're waiting for a different section!! I really need to get a life when this is over! Please let some BEC scores be released soon! Once BEC gets released, the rest can follow suit!

    REG - 83(6/09); FAR - 91(8/09); BEC - 83(11/09); AUD - 1/18/10

    SOONtobeCPA,

I'm totally stalking the BEC forum for info. Once the ball starts rolling here, it's on!

I can't believe it's February 16 and the AICPA hasn't released anything. Perhaps they are still recovering from their 3-day weekend.

    REG - 83(6/09); FAR - 91(8/09); BEC - 83(11/09); AUD - 1/18/10

Don't waste your money on that software. Just go to http://www.twitter.com/nasba and convert it to an RSS feed. Then it will update as soon as NASBA posts something to Twitter. I don't use twitter, but I do use RSS feeds and have found this helpful.

Thanks for the idea Wein8, I just added it to my iGoogle page since I've been checking NASBA tweeter to see if anything was happening there.

Does anyone have any advice for someone taking BEC next week? I feel like this exam is totally random compared to the others. aHHHH

The Result Watch software has nothing to do with any info that NASBA would tweet.

It pulls your score from the NASBA.org site when it is uploaded and e-mails you your score, allowing you to do other things than obsess on NASBA.org the night of score releases. In theory, you could go to a movie and get your score e-mailed to you on your phone vs camping out in front of a computer.

    Like Jeff mentioned….

For last quarter's REG release, the NASBA site got really slow…I spent like an hour trying to pull my scores up. The problem wasn't that I didn't know they were posted…I knew it was posted, but I still couldn't get the page to load.

The software pulled the score instantly.

No, I didn't go through and clear cookies and all that junk, so maybe it could have worked if I had, but again…for the $10 to get my actual score as soon as it posts, it's worth it to me.

I have it set to look at the NASBA site every 5 mins. It'll e-mail me from there, so call it another 2 mins from when it finds the score. I'll know within 7 mins of my score being posted 😉

D3 – BEC advice….make sure you feel like you have a good “foundation” for the material…don't stress the details and I think you will be fine. As random as the material is…you would be stressing way too much trying to study every detail…keep in mind I give this advice before I have gotten my BEC score 🙂

I would focus on chapters 3 and 5…and 4 (assuming you're using Becker)
