Wednesday night is doubtful…9pm-ish Eastern is a more probable scenario.

    Hi Yandra,

Best of luck to you!! My suggestion would be to focus on chapters 3-5 if you're doing Becker. That's the Cost Accounting and IT portion of the exam. That seemed to be the majority of my test.

    FAR - 77 (2/2/09), AUD - 79 (5/2/09), REG - 86 (5/30/09), BEC - 79 (1/19/10)

I totally agree. Know Ch1 of Becker, don't spend too much time on ch2, and be very familiar with Ch3-5. DO NOT under estimate IT. It gets me every time. Know your IT inside and out.

Ok, so no AICPA release today because of the holiday? Darn.

I also agree with Sadie and CantTakeIt. Chapters 3-5 are the hardest. There was a lot of IT stuff on my exam, which really surprised me. Everyone always said that BEC was the easiest part, but I totally disagree! I waited four years after college to start taking the exam, and I found that much of what is in BEC was unfamiliar to me. I imagine they are teaching it now, but it took me by surprised. BEC is the dark horse – much harder than everyone led me to believe!

    REG - 83(6/09); FAR - 91(8/09); BEC - 83(11/09); AUD - 1/18/10

hello all!! it's been about 3 weeks since i last posted, which seems like an eternity! i sit for BEC feb. 25 and just finished reviewing chapter 1. i am not planning on spending much time at all with chapters 1 and 2. i feel LOST with chapters 3 and 5 and know that come exam day, i will have no clue how to approach 99% of those calculation questions. the becker questions are ridiculous. i don't even wanna review them because if those types of questions ARE on the exam, i am sh!t outta luck anyway!!

anybody feel that their exams were less calc heavy than Becker? think i can pull off the review in 10 days??

Also Jeff would you please be able to send me to the notes related to the 2 days cram session for BEC? i ordered the Wiley book and CD and you mentioned you would let me have the notes. thank you!!

good luck to everybody in wave 1!!!!

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

The thing is that the cost accounting and PV Becker questions include almost of the different variables that can be included in the question. I've heard the Becker questions are similar to the ones they use for the CFA review course. Also look back over the % of the exam that Becker thinks will be cost accounting and PV. Then think about how many questions will be theory and how many will be calculations.

I worked the questions a few times, but dont get discouraged if your % is low as long as you understand how to work the problems.

I'm not sure I can help you much more than that, and keep in mind I dont have my score yet!

    -BEC 83- AUD 77- FAR(sooner)- REG (soon)-

Oh I hope the AICPA is good to all of us and release today! The suspense is killing me.

I think they have to today, its already the 16th. I know its because of a weekend and holiday, but this would seem consistent based on past Wave 1 releases.

Jeff – I just called NASBA in re. to the BEC NASBA release. The NASBA rep told me that all scores would start to come out at the end of February and that when you sit does not determine when you will receive your score. Is this true?

I sat for BEC on February 5th and was hoping for my score this week.

Any input you can provide would be a big help!

(I sat and am in NY by the way)

NASBA reps say the same thing every window – they have to.

You'll get your score by Friday.
