thenarvin, did you feel like you totally annihilated the exam when you walked out? BEC is a bit different from the others because it doesn't have that adaptive questions like FAR, REG, and AUD. Just curious. Sort of wonder how people feel when they get a score that high walking out of a test center. I felt VERY confident walking out and got an 83. I was actually thinking I got at min an 85 but I think some of the questions I thought were pre-test were actually real questions.

    REG - 67, 76 (Q4 2009) - Used CPAExcel first time, Used CPAExcel + CPAReviewForFree
    BEC - 83 (Q1 2010) - CPAExcel + CPAReviewForFree
    AUD - 89 (Q2 2010) - CPAExcel + CPAReviewForFree
    FAR - 81 (Q4 2010) - Roger CPA + CPAReviwForFree

    Iwillpasswithalife,

I felt good about it. Honestly, it was a lot easier than the other exams (in my opinion). I felt that I did well on the exam, but not amazing. I had to cram in the studies because I really wanted to get the exam done in the extended window. I basically just did MC questions for two weeks and then took it. A lot of the questions on the actual exam were very, very similar to the practice MCs. So, I felt that I'd seen questions that were very similar, which made me feel comfortable when I left the exam.

Did you just take the exam, too?

Texas candidates – I spoke to them and they said they have our scores (BEC) but we should be able to see them after midnight. There is also a possibility to view them after 3pm. Lets hope, the sooner the better.

I felt confident walking out the exam and just got my score- 87. But I was worried cuz I heard many people felt good about it but ended up not passing. I used Becker mainly but when I was reviewing I used an old Wiley book (2008 edition) and practiced the multiple choice questions. I felt that really helped, especially for the IT portion. The actual exam was easier than the Becker final exams.

does anybody have any advice for taking a test after getting a 74? do you just review for it til you take it again in the next window or study for that section and the other section you were planning to take at the same time?

    FAR - 81
    REG - 74, 87
    AUD - 88
    BEC - 88

    Finally.

Yeah, I took the exam on 2/28 and received my score today. I felt confident when I left the testing center. I actually felt that BEC was harder than REG (I've only taken BEC and REG so far), but I scored higher on BEC. It was mostly the cost accounting and formulas that were getting to me.

Kappa, if your that score you could try getting some more questions for review. If you haven't tried cpareviewforfree.com you should try that for studying the next time around. I did that when I took REG the second time and destroyed the tax section (I went from 58 to 85 on my report or weaker to stronger on the individual tax section) which I bombed the first time thanks to his clear explainations of the answers. I screwed up the sim and written but still passed.

On my scratch paper that give I write down sections that are unfimilar with me as I'm taking the exam so I can go back and figure them out in the case that I fail. After I'm done with the exam I just quick memorize it while I'm taking the survery questions. I did this with REG and knew what I had to review when I retook it and made that my focus.

    BEC - 83 (Q1 2010) - CPAExcel + CPAReviewForFree
    AUD - 89 (Q2 2010) - CPAExcel + CPAReviewForFree
    FAR - 81 (Q4 2010) - Roger CPA + CPAReviwForFree

I was going to take FAR after BEC, but instead I just jumped right back into BEC and hit hard. I only studied about 2 weeks before I retook it. Then I started on FAR after. I figured the information for BEC was still fresh in my head and it was best to just focus on that and get it done.
