Never taken a CPA exam before so I’m not sure how this works. I see that I have 180 minutes to complete 3 MC booklets and a 4th booklet with 3 Written Content examples?

    1. Do I get 180 mins and have to ration them out as I see fit, or is it structured where I get 45 minutes flat for each of the 4 books?

    2. What if I have to use the bathroom in the middle of the book? Is there a pause button?

    3. Are there alotted breaks in between booklets where the clock is NOT ticking?

    4. Is there something like MS Excel built into the computer that I can use to assist me in answering MC questions? Or is that only available during the Written Content?

    5. I know there’s a digital calculator that’s probably like the one in the Windows OS. Can I bring in my own physical calculator?

    BEC - 87 | 02/28
    REG - 70 | 06/10, REMATCH | 08/30
    AUD - XX | 09/10
    FAR - XX | 12/10

    1. You can use the 180 minutes however you see fit.

    2. If you have to go in the middle of a testlet (booklet), you'll just have to hold it. You could end the testlet early to go to the restroom, but keep in mind you CANNOT go back to a testlet so I don't recommend this – peeing your pants is probably a better option.

    3. No. The clock is always running once you start the exam.

    4. You get an on-screen calculator for the MCQs. For the written portion of BEC, you only get the space to write your answers. For FAR/REG/AUD you get an Excel-like spreadsheet for the sims.

    5. No outside calculators. You'll get to bring in the Prometric-provided dry erase markers and scratch paper, your ID, locker key and soft earplugs – that's all you can bring into the testing area.
