    Hi Cat,

I just took the exam 2 hours ago. This was my first time sitting for the CPA – BEC. It really is so difficult to say what your exam will look like. For mine I had a lot COSO, IT, economics, WACC, quick ratio. I would say practice the formulas and review COSO,ERM, and do a bunch of multiple choice. I had very very few cost accounting questions but your test could be different. Just keep doing MCQ. Sims can go either way, it’s difficult to study for Sims.

    Hope this helped.

Hey all. I am currently studying for my BEC with the Wiley material. I purchased the Wiley Excel book along with the flashcards and as of right now this is the only material that I have. I am wanting to know if anyone in this group has had success with this material. Are there any suggestions as to what other material I may use to accommodate the material I already have?

I have been approved to seat for the exam and waiting for the NTS. Started reading for BEC Today, am planing to take the exam at the begging of 3rd window, that gives me approximately 2 months to read, I work full time as a staff accountant. Any advise on the strategy? is two months a long time to study for this exam?.

Studying for this exam after my credit expired. I forgot how completely boring and detailed this material is. I think flashcards and loads of MCQs are the best route for this exam. Taking on the 18th – good luck to everyone!

Just got my score back from my 04/01/19 BEC exam: 71. What worked for FAR & REG did not pan out for BEC. Already several weeks into AUD but any tips on BEC are appreciated.

Hey guys! I'm set to take my exam on the 15th…these past couple of days I'm purely focusing on MC and SIMS. Any areas I should focus on? I'm assuming COSO and IT are the big chunks of it.

    Took BEC this morning.

COSO, IT, can not be overstated.

Why is their a higher passing rating with BEC? In my experience, each exam is a handful.

I hate how the cost portion undermines what you arleady accepted as true in FAR and REG.

I took BEC yesterday. (5/13/19) I felt you literally need to know everything before you go take the test. Especially COSO/IT. Score coming out within 9 days. Anyone else here waiting for the 5/23/19 score release date?

Hey is there a study group any of you are a part of that I can join(online of course even in person if needed.) I figure it would be easier doing this than searching for a bunch of replies here.

LL I am also waiting on the 5/23/19 score release. I am freaking out a little as this was my final exam. BEC is the only thing in my way of having a life again! I actually felt well prepared going into this one and it kicked me in the butt. It was heavy on calculations right off the bat. The Sims were not overly complicated but were very long and had many components and by that time I was already running behind schedule. I was working until the very last second! To anyone taking the exam soon, be comfortable with your calculations and budget your time. It could have been luck of the draw for me. FAR was the only other exam I ran into time issues.
