Those are the worst explanations. My other favorites are “This isn't a great choice, but it's the best of the ones here.” The IT chapter is full of those, don't know if you're up to that one yet. Lets hope the real test has choices that clearly are the best ones there!

lol yeah I'm in IT now … finally finished the B3 supplementals…

I started the “duties in an IT department” topic of 11 questions, got the first 3 wrong and decided to just go re-read that section. I'm now an expert! LOL 11/11 the second try around. Probably wasted 20 minutes but I seriously had NO IDEA on any of those questions. I”m thinking I was zoning out during that portion of the lecture? LOL

Yea that's happened to me a few times. Sometimes you just gotta put it down for a few minutes and come back to it. The IT was a welcome change after the B3 supplementals. I did those again last night and got a 74% the second time around so I'm starting to feel a little better about those types of questions. I figure if I can do alright on those then the ones on the test hopefully won't be too bad since the notes say many of those are longer and more in depth than the real questions will be. Here's to hoping lol.

I just clicked the “open the e-book” icon on one of hte questions cause the explanation didn't make any sense and the question was merely a bullet point, with NO elaboration on the page. Maybe that's why I don't remember reading about it lol!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and taking BEC on October 11. I just finished B4 (using becker) and so far I think B3 has been the hardest. I hear B5 is pretty intense also. Is that pretty much the consensus?

Definitely I'd agree with that. B3 was pretty tough but after doing it a few times it gets better every time, at least for me. B5 is pretty tough though, it's a very long chapter with a lot of calculation extensive questions. Plus there are just so many questions so it makes it seem like a much longer and harder chapter than it may be. I'm taking BEC Friday and have spent the last 2 – 3 days solely on chapter 5 trying to get enough of it where I feel decent about it and pretty strong about the other chapters.

Just found out I passed REG!!!! It was my first section I took so I'm beyond excited and now have so much more confidence going into BEC this week. Just wanted to share it with people who understand how draining this is. Good luck to everyone studying, we can do it!!

Hey guys – Just moved over from the FAR section. Just found out tonight I passed FAR!!!

I passed BEC but it expired. I used Becker at that time – which expired with my exam! So I have to purchase study material. I used Yager for FAR and loved Cindy.

Any recommendations on what is the best??

Congrats NjGuy and CPL!!! That is definitely a confidence boost 🙂 And yeah I got through only one topic of B5 today, I'll be drilling that one tomorrow. My brain kind of just shut off 🙁

Thanks Florida_Candidate 🙂 B5 is a nightmare, especially the second half. The 200 supplemental questions are so detailed (some of them) I might not even get to all of them. I think I'm gonna try a practice test tomorrow and see how I do on that and skim chapters 1, 2 and 4 again. Don't wanna forget any of those topics after spending the last 4 days on 3 and 5. But for now I'm celebrating by shutting the Becker book!

Yeah honestly I may not even do the supplementals for B5. I'm thinking I'm going to do the regular ones for B5 and then take a progress exam. I just don't think I'm going to have time to get through all 197 supplemental 🙁

Congrats on passing REG! I took FAR and REG thinking it would be wise to get the two hardest ones out of the way…. but I think I prefer REG over BEC….. this is just so much random material!

I think going through the non-supplemental questions seems like enough, 200 is way too much for one chapter that may only a handful of questions on the test. Plus getting so many of them is not very encouraging lol.

That's a good strategy, I went into it expecting REG and FAR to be the hardest too, but going through BEC is deceptively tricky because every chapter is so random and separate form the others. At least with REG they built on each other so it was like you were reviewing everything as you went along.
