    I think it would be much easier cramming audit than BEC. For audit just watch the lectures, memorize flashcards and do a few problems. BEC on the other hand takes some getting used to in figuring out the problems and all that…

    Do you have score reports that tell you what your weak areas are?

    Yes, pretty much the planning section (don't have it with me but it was called something like that) and financial. I was a ways off and it just blows my mind because I truely did study my butt off and it just stinks but enough feeling bad for myself its time to start over! I just don't know if I should study for it as if I have never taken it before..

    …rest of the story about hitting the Quit Exam button for those of you who were following it last night:

    Got an email from NASBA fresh and early this morning stating they carefully checked my file and found that all responses to my BEC exam were recorded, saved and transmitted to the AICPA. Whew…thank goodness!

    i took it yesterday and i don't feel good about it at all.

    so now i'm thinking…if i have to take it again in january with the 3 essays, can the fact that i've passed 2 parts with essays get me out of doing that somehow? i'm halfway joking. i need wine.

    @rmm91909 – Wow that stinks. That section is tough! I wouldn't start all over if you were only really weak in one or two areas. I'd just hit those extra hard. I'd also suggest buying the gleim test bank (if you're using Becker) and make sure you work all those problems. Practice really does make perfect. Now if you were SUPER far off in points I'd say start over but it doesn't sound like that….

    @2010Please – Oh thank goodness! Glad there's a happy ending to this one!

    @i.can.haz.CPA – I'm sorry the exam didn't go as planned for you 🙁 if it makes you feel better a bunch of us are having the same “ehhhh” feeling lol!

    @whitesoxfancpa – yep!!! I'm not struggling with it CURRENTLY as I'm struggling with REG currently lol but yes when I was studying BEC it was one of my hardest sections. i'd just recommend a million and one MC questions :-/

    Hi everyone. I'm taking BEC on 10/8 – my very first attempt at the CPA exam. Is there a spreadsheet function on BEC? Will PV tables be provided in the exam? or is it just the on screen calculator?

    Thanks.

    I will be starting B5 in a few days whitesoxfan. I haven't been really studying well for BEC though because of work, so who knows. At this point I don't really care and will be content with just getting by.

    @bunmey – I think there's a spreadsheet function but to be honest I don't really remember. I'm assuming it's the same for all 4 sections though? And they give you any PV factors you just need to know which ones to pick out 😉

    @potatogun- good luck!

    The spreadsheet function is only available in the sims. I test in about an hour, so I'll verify that later. But I'd get used to using the crappy computer calculator if I were you. It does the job, so that's all that matters.

    I'm really praying I get an exam I understand and don't get too many curve balls. Seems like the majority of people feel like they studied the wrong stuff for their exam.

    Took the exam yesterday. I have not sat for the exam since the last paper exam. I never studied for the paper exam (did not have time was an auditor living out of suitcase). I had to learn how to study. Never needed to study in college. Felt great going into the exam. Not sure how I feel after taking it. Started studying for FAR this morning. I have been been on the private side for the last 8 years. I just need to get the govt part down. Good luck to everyone.
