I was initially lacking the ambition to study for BEC, and my passing REG grade gave me the motivation I needed to get going. I was doing great! COSO, Econ, IT, Finance.. Nothing could stop me! That is, until I got to the Cost Volume Profit Analysis section in Wiley. It has completely defeated me, and I can’t get through it! I sit for the exam on August 3rd, and I don’t know what to do. Any words of wisdom? I’m just going to move on for now, but it’s all I can think about. HELP!

I understand where you’re coming from. Everything made sense until I got to Cost Accounting and Operations Management. Maybe it’s because traditional accounting education doesn’t spend much time on the subject. I’m in the same boat but my exam is on August 18th.

You could always try some Ninja MCQ’s to supplement your learning. I use Wiley+Ninja and so far it’s really helped. It is a big portion of the exam, so just practice as many MCQ’s as you can.

Yup, I feel your pain. It's variances still for me.

Hammering away at MCQ's has helped. Gotten much better after 1 full pass.

Did you have to take cost accounting while in school? I remember looking back to my old notes and exams which helped.
