It’s random. It’s all over the place. You don’t want to skip any topic because it might come out in your exam. I suggest to learn to basic at least. I had a lot of computations like costing and financial management. Don’t skip standard costing and job order costing. Good luck!

BEC was pretty balanced as far as topics go. Have all your calculations in order and be comfortable with the financial ratios. Don't neglect the IT section, because those will show-up and for most people tend to be difficult to learn/remember come test day. Good luck.

I agree. The topis seem pretty balanced. Know your ratios and graphs from economics, and don't neglect IT.

Being able to use graphs on your scratch paper to figure out answers is really helpful! Ex. shifts in supply/demand curves, etc. There are different kinds of scenarios they'll want to throw at you, but if you know the foundational concepts and understand the reasoning behind things, you don't need to be nervous.

Remember, as you go through your MCQs during studying, read why answers are right, and why answers are wrong.

With BEC, you can expect to be tested on six core areas in the following percentages (current as of January 1, 2011):

    I. Corporate Governance (16% – 20%)

II. Economic Concepts and Analysis (16% – 20%)

    III. Financial Management (19% – 23%)

IV. Information Systems and Communications (15% – 19%)

    V. Strategic Planning (10% – 14%)

    VI. Operations Management (12% – 16%)

This is similar to what recall listed in the front of the Becker book
