Does anyone know how much of the content of BEC changed since 2010? Is the IFRS portion of it major? I am asking because I am using my 2010 Wiley materials to study for the test in November 2011. It is too risky? Should I break down and buy the 2011 materials this late in the year? Thanks for your help!

The structure changed quite a bit. (eg business law was moved to REG, etc)

You should be able to get 2011 materials pretty cheap, especially if you wait until after scores are released.

If you decide to stick with the 2010 materials, make sure to look at the CSOs so that you cover the necessary material.

    Good luck!

@eatrunCPA, thanks for your advice. I found a 2011 Wiley BEC book for about half price and ordered it. I just hate the thought of starting over with a clean book that doesn't have my notes scribbled all over it.

I've been dabbling with the CPA exam for a few years and have not passed any sections. I took BEC at the end of 2010-Yeager- 65- and wouldn't you know Business Structure was my strongest area…

I am married to a CPA, work full time as an accountant and don't have a lot of time to study. I admire those of you who are willing to give up so much of your time to cram these concepts into your brains.

I have just found this forum and thought it might help to inspire me.
