    I just finished reading chapter 1 in Becker and for the last section I got killed with all the math problems. I took 112 question quiz and I could not remember all of the formulas. Is the real exam that extreme with all those computations and long problems? The topics in Becker chapter 1 just seemed so random and does not flow together for me.

    I feel your pain. Wait until you see the formulas and ratios on B2 and B3. I don't know myself exactly how to study for it and my exam is in less than 3 weeks. They have to be revisited from time to time and make sure just before the exam to do a review of all formulas. They do not lend themselves well to long term memory without using them regularly. Good luck.

    Hi @mylifeisover!

    I'm new to the forum, and will be starting to study for BEC tomorrow. This will be my first section of the exam to take, so I can't give you advice from a point of experience like the other's here. But I did find a list online about a month ago with all of the BEC formulas. I believe there were around 60. My personal plan of action for trying to memorize the formulas will be with the use of flashcards. I am going to write the formula name on one side of an index card, and the actual formula on the opposite side. This way I can continuously work on memorizing them.

    Luckily most of the formulas looked familiar to me from undergrad. There were some variance formulas though that looked absolutely foreign to me! (And I've read these are important to study). I don't remember ever seeing some of those formulas in either my Managerial or Cost Accounting classes.

    Best of luck!

    @vintage_diamo I think I might need to implement your strategy

    @ActionCPA will do!
