BEC at the end of April.

I'm using Becker and the NINJA MCQ's. I've noticed that many of the questions are the same or similar with names of companies changed. ie. XYZ Corp vs ABC Corp. Becker questions tend to be longer with more distractors while NINJA MCQ's are more straightforward and to the point. NINJA questions seem to be really comparable to the exam questions in length. I go through the Becker course to learn the material and then supplement with NINJA to reinforce it. For some reason its easier to knock out 100 MCQ's in NINJA than it is for Becker. Probably because they are less wordy. Either way, find what works for you best and stick with it.

I plan on retaking BEC on April 6 or 7 before I go on vacation. I don't want to go on vacations studying for the CPA.

I started to restudy shortly after the March 10 score release date. I redid the MCQ in the Wiley Book on the chapters I was weak in (mainly the beginning chapters). I purchased Ninja MCQ for BEC as they have great reviews. How long should I study for a BEC retake. FYI, I work fulltime. Any advice?

I am taking BEC in April. I really think everyone studies different, with that said, I used Becker solo for FAR and failed. I believe it was cuz the mcq were too wordy for me, I would have to read the questions multiple times and wouldn't get much out of it. I thought the video's and book were good but then I got to the mcq and I just couldn't handle how I felt they did not go along with the book material. So now I am using Becker and Ninja MCQ for BEC. I have gone through some MCQ on Becker, but I like the Ninja MCQ so much better. If I were you and if you have $40 I would buy the ninja MCQ if nothing else just to get a feel for some other questions.

@key522, as far as study time goes, it depends on how comfortable you are with the material. I absolutely hated BEC since I was weak in practically everything. I spent about 100 hours in MCQ alone between Ninja and CPAexcel. The ninja questions are great questions and will prepare you as long as you make sure and understand how and why the answer is correct. Compared to the exam, the questions in ninja were A LOT harder computational wise. With a couple weeks left, your best bet is to hit those MCQ hard and do maybe 50-100 a day. It would take me about 3-4 hours to do that with more on the weekend since I took the time to break down the question and answers in a way I could understand them. I work full time as well and would hit the books right after I clocked out. I can't really say what to focus on other than the areas where you're really struggling. My exam was an equal mix of everything with nothing being tested more than others. You can do it, just hit that MCQ hard!

    AUD 10/18/2014--78
    REG 11/24/2014--76
