BEC: Applying Overhead / Fixed Overhead Variance Question

I’m having a lot of trouble with Fixed Overhead Variance questions. When applying overhead for other problems, I think I just multiplied the actual cost driver times the overhead rate. But, for fixed overhead variance questions, applied overhead seems to be actual activity * standard cost driver/unit * FOH rate. For the other overhead problems, am I just applying OH wrong? Is it always actual units * standard cost driver/unit * OH rate, or was I right in just multiplying the actual cost driver times the OH rate for most applied OH questions other than Fixed OH? Sorry if my phrasing is confusing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
