I take BEC on Monday. IT is prob my weakest point, should I reread the chapter right now? Or just keep practicing computational stuff? I’ve heard there isn’t too much IT on the test

I would just keep doing other stuff that you might be weak at. Honestly, the IT section is so random that as long as you know the basics behind it then you will be able to make an educated guess on the ridiculous questions you will probably see. If you want to spend a little while reviewing basic IT stuff then that is fine but I would focus on other areas because it is so random.

I took BEC Thursday. I'd review the IT section quickly again. It's material that, in my opinion, you should see very shortly before you take the exam, because it's not a calculation you can work through. You either know it or don't. Just my two cents!

Yeah there were like 2 IT questions on the entire test, mainly COSO and computations, not too bad

Long computation (multi-steps) or one-step computation. Did you use Becker?

you lucky you got 2 IT questions.

I used Becker. Most of the computational problems on the CPA were shorter than the ones in Becker. The only long ones on the CPA were an NPV problem and one of those month of sale and collection type of problems. Pretty much all of the computations were pretty simple, Becker prepared me well for that.

I am also using Becker. was it heavily depended on IT ECON COSCO? what were your practice exam results? (mine are 91, 87, 83)

The only practice exam result I remember was like an 83 or something. There was prob 4-5 econ questions, 7-8 coso, then only a couple of IT questions. One of the IT questions was ridiculously hard though. All the computational questions are easy, and you'll be fine if you got a 91 on the practice exam.

@twest. there isnt any ancillary material in 2012 ed of Becker. you must be using 2011ed. I have both 2012 and 2011ed. to my knowledge, whatever was ancillary in 2011 is included in 2012. so study it.

I havent taken BEC in 2012 so I cant help much
