AnonymousInactiveNASBA and AICPA don't publish much detail about their pass rates (I saw one article they'd written explaining why they couldn't track first-time candidate passing data, just overall passes by quarter 😐 ), so I think any data regarding the pass rate for all 4 in one window would be ancedotal at best. That being said, I've seen a few people on here for whom it was successful. When someone has known themselves, known their abilities, and approached these tests with a serious, achievable plan to get them all in one window, I think they've generally passed them all in that window. But when someone has attempted all in one window just cause they don't want to waste more than 3 months on them, I think they've generally failed at least most of them. It's all about the seriousness of the effort, the commitment to seeing it through, and the ability to gauge your own ability.

spatel15ParticipantNot gonna lie, the main motivation is definitely the 3 month break(2 month for me, till I work). Last time I can ever “do nothing,” which is my surprisingly enough to get me going lol.
That said, definitely a lil of the first too, but ya know…hope for the worst prepare for the best, dont wanna be overconfident.
Took/Taking em within 6 weeks(+1 week for prep for the first sit)
Registered Exams/Opened Becker AUD 7/10 <–That said I did just take my final college class on 7/9 which was auditing, but didn't think about CPA(or that class) prep mode until I saw how shitty the open test dates were. <–Third basis for doing what I'm doing. I blame Prometrics.
AUD on 7/17, 92, so far so good. <–weakest topic by far(maybe REG actually)
FAR 8/4 (kinda boned by the TBS(did 5 of the TBS fully, totally screwed the pooch on research lol) because I spent too much time on MCQ but I nailed those for sure)
BEC this coming wed 7/12. Ill get this and FAR back on 25th if grading is timely. Struggling to get through chapter 1 rn..
REG 8/27

tom411ParticipantI originally had 4 scheduled for the current window, until I got into the REG material and realized there was no way on earth I would be able to cram BEC and REG into the same month. If you haven't already scheduled your exams, I would definitely Not recommend scheduling all 4 for a single window – unless you're at the extreme end of the bell curve in both endurance and intelligence, you will reach the point of burnout and greatly increase your odds of failing a section.

tcheney3ParticipantI'll buy 3 in a testing window. 4 seems like too much. Restudying for FAR would drain your motivation dry.
BEC - 82
REG - 86
FAR - 85
AUD - 84 and I'm out!!!!!

spatel15ParticipantJust looking to see if anyone knew the stat lol. Im already half way through plus a chapter done with BEC…no point in turning back now.
Just got to the end of BEC1, thought they were about to wreck me with the service allocation portion when it started going into the “step-method.” Becker left out the “reciprocal method”….can anyone confirm that the reciprocal method is or isnt needed for the exam? That would be a total game changer that would set me back for suuure.

tcheney3ParticipantEven if you knew the statistic it would be full of outliers. The only people who would try to pull it off are people who aren't working and who have the confidence they can do it. If 10,000 average CPA Exam candidates tried to do it my guess is it would be well below 5%.

AnonymousInactiveisnt the pass rate of passing every section on your first try about 20%? So passing them all in one window must be pretty rare and very impressive.
August 6, 2015 at 5:59 pm #686289
TncincyParticipantSeeing the pass rate for each individual section is disheartening enough,,,so we know first timers on all four sections is probably even more discouraging. Can it be done? absolutely, and have been…but I guess for me, I just need to pass and hats off to those that could pull if off on the first try with out going broke.
It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to passAugust 6, 2015 at 6:37 pm #686290
Claudia408Participanti think i read somewhere is was like 10% of candidates pass all 4 in one try. but i just found this article and it said 20%…
BEC - 75 (3x)
AUD - 78 (3x)
REG - 67, 66, Aug 1
FAR - 54, Sept 8August 6, 2015 at 6:49 pm #686291
Pork Flavored BaconParticipantI think your chances to pass is good as long as you apply yourself. It will be hard as hell but it's definitely not impossible. I know more than a handful of people who took all four in two days and passed all four. Really difficult, but not impossible. They wanted to do it “old school”.
I took all four at once on pen and paper and only passed two. I passed REG and FAR together on the same day, too. REG in the morning and FAR in afternoon with a 2 hour break in between.
FAR - 75 | REG - 87 | AUD - 82 | LAW - 81

spatel15ParticipantHalf way done with the book! Chapter 2 was kind of a struggle. Calcs were not bad, but some of the concepts…like shoot me in the face why dont ya?
If anyones got tips of memorizing for these topics, that'd be cooool:
1.Transfer Pricing test techniques; Annoying that we need to know what tax authorities would do. Anyone know how prevalent that topic is on the exam?
2. Budgeting: I get the overarching concept, but the individual budget reports lil iffy.
Reexplanations not needed lol. Just time saving tips por favor =P Mnemonics, summarizing steps or phrases appreciated =P

MarkParticipantI did Aud and Reg in one window, working full time (three kids and a great wife) but they were my last two, I had 100% focus and I swear I am still suffering PTSD over it Even not working doing 4 would be tough unless you took the quarter before as part of the prep. Just my two cents, but I am no genius and being mid-40's I did not have the benefit of having just finished school which. Perhaps you do. I wish you all the best.
