    So are they somehow “more” of a CPA than someone who got 75's on all parts???

    Just kidding, I'm sure they are all very smart and talented test-takers. It will look spiffy on their resumes, no doubt 🙂

    At the Big 4 firm I will be working at you get a $20,000 bonus if you are an Elijah Watt Sells Award winner… I'm actually pretty sure all of the Big 4 do this but I could be wrong

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    @Texas27 I know you probably get this a lot, How did you manage to start CPA examination in Feb 2012, and almost done by May 2012. Did you just finish school? no job? techniques? or just simply sm@rt.

    I did Becker through my school because it was an elective. I just finished my last semester of grad school and the only thing I did this semester was study and take the exam. I dedicated my entire life to it for this semester and it has worked out pretty well. I did have a part time job though but it was an on campus job and I could study there.

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Interesting about the bonus. I can understand them wanting smart people, but success in public accounting is equally (if not more) about being able to get along with clients, sell work for the firm, communicate effectively (face to face, not just memos) etc. All skills which an exam cannot measure. The 20 g's would be sweet though!

    In 2011, the cumulative score was 95.50 … Is there any data about prior years or what the scores were from the award winners before 2011? Interested…
