I failed BEC twice and REG once, so that’s three times in a row, my confidence level is wayyyyyy low. I believe I really put my 100% especially for REG and got a 71. I just don’t know what else to do???? Any advice??

It depends on why you failed. Did you feel well prepared during the test? Were there some areas you felt particularly weak on? Did you have time management issues? Do you have test anxiety? Did you performance report correspond to how you felt about how you did on the exam?

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

I felt pretty good about the MCQ's, but the task based sims were really hard. I left one hour for the sims but I still ran out of time. There were two areas I felt weak about and there were two TBS on those same topics………@#$! My performance report kind of corresponds with my own feeling of how I did.

Take it from someone that has failed FAR 5 times…it is those darn SIMS. I have been told that I MUST leave 90 minutes for them the next time around!

    AUD - 82 Becker
    BEC - 75 Becker
    REG - 71, 82 Becker
    FAR - 66,61,71,74,70 and #6 80!!!! FINALLY DONE!!! 9/20/12
Yaeger and Yaeger CRAM for the final battle!

I'd definitely leave 1 1/2 hours for the SIMS. Set a schedule for your first 3 testlets to meet this goal and stick to it.

If you aren't already doing so, use a test bank during your review. It helps increase your speed and gives you additional practice.

Doing extra MCQ is probably the best way to firm up your knowledge of the topics you're likely to see in SIMS. However, there are certain things you can do in addition to MCQ to improve your chances on the SIMS especially in your weak areas. For example, write out bond JE for premiums and discounts at the time of issuance, EOY interest accrual and premium/discount reduction, and time of redemption. Prepare consolidated financial statements for various situations such as partial ownership, purchase at premium price, etc. Go back to your old accounting texts for additional problems if necessary.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85
