This testing window I received a 74 on Audit and a 74 on BEC… I kid you not. Unbelievable, I know. I have been using Gleim self study, and working full time. I am going to decrease my hours at work to gain more hours for study. Also, I am looking into taking a crash class offered in Minneapolis in April/May to supplement my study. Can you share your study habit success stories with me? How much reading vs problems did you do? How many hours did you study before a break? How did you learn new chapters while refreshing the old ones? I need some encouragement and ideas to supplement my regular routine. Thank you

    REG 80

    Audit 74, 72, 69, 74

    BEC 71, 74

FAR have not sat for yet

    B 71, 74, 84*
    A 74, 72, 69, 74, 87*
    R 80* ... lost credit... 82* done forever!!!
    F 68, 68, 74, 78*

Yep, I've gotten five 74's! Wah!

I got a 68 and 73 on Reg and FAR, respectively, a while back on CPAexcel and decided to change material.

I figured CPAExcel was conditioning me to check off tasks and not drill concepts. And the material was so extensive it was very difficult to just get through it, let alone refresh it. I also thought it was going deeper than the exam actually did, which consumed time that could have been spent revisiting topics.

    So in both cases:

I rescheduled for about 7-8 weeks

I bought the Ninja Notes and MCQ

I rewrote the notes, took a couple days – then-

I just did MCQ until i was trending close to 70% and getting through approx 35-40% of the questions. -then-

rewrote the notes again (i timed out the MCQ to give me a couple days to do this)

This is not what was recommended by NINJA, but frankly I didn't have the time or energy to study more than 2-3 hours a day this approach cost me.

I ended up with an 80 and an 82 on the retakes for REG and FAR, respectively.

I did not read any book or watch videos. I did not do any practice exams or any simulations. I think they are not a waste of time, but time is a resource and if I'm spending it I'm spending it on MCQ where I get 4 learning opportunities per question and engagement that the other learning methods didn't reinforce.
