Could somebody help me out and finish 4 way variance on Q.31 of 141 (BEC5)

My mind is fried and I am getting frustrated.

    A. BA. BS. Applied

    101000. X X 108000

    214000. X X 216000

    Thank you

Question 31 only asks for the VOH variance.

Actual is $214,000, which is given.

BA is budget based on actual. We know our budget is $10/hour since the information given tells us there is $2,400,000 of VOH based on 240,000 hours. Therefore, we take $10/hour, budget, times our actual hours worked, 21,600, to get $216,000.

BS is budget based on standard. Once again our budget is $10/hour, based on standard hours that we planned on. The information on the top of the problem shows that we planned on spending $220,000 at $10/hr, 22,000 hours, so the budget based on standard would be $220,000.

Applied is the rate of $10/hour multiplied by the amount of hours it should have taken us if we were on budget. This is given to us in the problem as 21,000, so our applied VOH is $210,000.

I could be wrong, hopefully someone else posts and corrects this if I'm wrong.

    Finally got to this topic!!

    Yeah, I think Smcilw1's right.

I'm a little confused about the applied voh part, but hopefully I'll get it soon.
