    I hear BEC is not as hard compared to the other exams . But I still see many posts that people fail it. I’m getting ready to take the exam early January . Any advice? This would be my first attempt at BEC

    I went 3/3 with FAR, AUD and REG…..took me three tries at BEC! 73, 70 and 87! Don't get blindsided by people saying BEC is the easiest! Think the only reason for this thought is that the pass rate is typically the highest. MCQ are the key to this exam. If you do well on MCQ you have a great shot at passing! COSO and IT are a must!!! I think studying using a variety of study materials really makes a difference for this test. Treat this test as if it was your first!

    BEC was harder than REG. This is from someone in tax who was an economics major.

    It is not an easy exam by any means but the volume is very manageable compared to FAR and even REG. There is a ridiculous amount of formulas, ratios, and terms (especially IT) which can be overwhelming. It is many different topics being covered so some things might not tie in very well. A lot of people struggle with it and that depends on your strengths and weaknesses, I personally found it easier than FAR and REG. I'm still in the begining of AUD but I expect audit to be easier based on what I am seeing. Be sure to know (Memorize) the components of Internal control and ERM.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

    I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

    Personally experience: it's the easiest section. But experience may vary.

    I'm in the same boat as OP; BEC is my last exam (also scheduled for early Jan) and I've been putting off seriously studying for it for about a month…..

    You guys are saying the first 3 chapters of Becker are the hardest, I'm using another CPA review course, so can you guys tell me which topics those are?

    7/14 FAR ☑
    8/14 AUD ☑
    10/14 REG ☑
    1/15 BEC

    This forum is a very small sample of the population (.01). You should go by passing rates, and BEC has the highest passing rates. This does not mean that you should devote 10% of the time you used to pass FAR, but maybe 50% will be enough in your case.

    Audit= 73-82
    BEC= 74-75
