I'm retaking BEC on thursday. I got through all the modules from Becker and now doing Ninja MCQs to supplement. I don't know what to expect from BEC.

After the early morning snafu from Wiley that prevented access to everyone's account on their website, their software problems are becoming a regular occurrence nowadays, I was able to finish the economic section. YAHOO!!! I'm ready to begin the Financial management section tomorrow. I sure hope this section just a little more interesting and engaging than economics.

I don't know about you guys, but I seriously don't like this exam. So many calculations, and it sounds like this exam is calculation heavy. ugh, out of FAR, AUD and this one…..this one is freaking me out. Anyone else struggling? I should have given myself more time to do this. Yikes!

I took FAR in April and decided to get another section done prior to this quarter’s window closing. BEC was the choice, and I take it June 5th. I find it to be far more disjointed than FAR, and some of the calculations (at least in the Becker MCQs) are brutal. However, I am trying to nail down the big picture approach and hope that all of those 5 or 6 minutes practice multiple choice questions make the difference on exam day.

    Progress Update:

Been a while since I reported back with my progress last time. I've been pounding MCQs on Becker progress tests in sets of 30 questions (x10) with an average of low-mid 90s. This is certainly not the case for Gleim as I find their questions a lot more complex than the ones in Becker (maybe it's because I'm going through their test bank for the first time).

Anyways, I agree with some of you guys that Becker calculation-based MCQs are difficult but keep going at them. Practice makes it better. I take BEC next Friday!

Just took FAR (5/30/18) and taking BEC (6/8/18) before the the window closes. If anyone else has experience doing a quick turnaround like this, how did it go for you?

@RustyShackleford Holy Crap!! I thought I was pushing taking BEC on June 8 after taking AUD on May 8 then immediately going on vacation for 10 days. I'm cramming like cray as we speak. I just started the IT section in Wiley. I hope to get through that by the end of this week and start the last section, Operations Management, on Sunday. Good Luck to you!!

@Rusty, wow! You are taking 9 days to study! I assume you are studying full time? There is some overlap of formulas from FAR so that should work in your favor. I pray you pass!

@Big4Bean are you currently in the review phase or do you still have material to cover?

This is getting too real for me, BEC on Monday! Come score release day, I could be done with all 4 sections or only halfway done.

    3rd Becker mock exam: 85% (92% MCQs, 75% SIMs)

I plan on reviewing the MCQs I missed on all 3 mock exams tomorrow.

Any ideas for a light review over the weekend before exam day on Monday? Thoughts on hitting IT/COSO on Roger's free trial?

    F – 91 (12/1/17)
    A – 88 (2/9/18)
    R – ?? (4/12/18)
    B – 6/4

There are a lot of formulas! How is everyone approaching the formulas? Are you learning every formula front-to-back or focusing on some of the common ones?

@CPAoneday, keep nailing MCQs. Practice WCs if you haven't already. It will help your speed on the exam. You got this!

@pdiddy, I tried to learn as many formulas as I could. You never know which ones you will need on the MCQs.
