    I just got done taking the BEC exam for the 2nd time. I’d have to say, it’s difficult in my opinion. There were some questions that I didn’t recall in the study guide that I use. I used the 2012 Becker course and Wiley Test Bank. I’m just curious, is there any difference between the 2012 Becker and the 2013 Becker study guide? My second question, is the ninja notes any good? I’ve heard alot of good reviews on it, but is really that good? =D

    I thought the same thing after taking my BEC exam but you really must trust in Becker. The questions out I of left field may have just been pretest questions. I also read ninja notes but I think Becker was enough

    AnnaMay: You probably just made my Saturday. I'm freaking out about everyone's comments on the “out of left field” questions and how Becker wasn't enough. I would have purchased Ninja notes or WTB but I didn't have the time to make them worth the purchase. I have been through Becker MCQ's 3 times and have reread each chapter thoroughly. I'm hoping that will be enough. Just coasting till Wednesday when I take my test.

    You could try the free 24 hours trial for WTB – let you get some practice without the expense. 🙂

    How do you do that? Is it available just through their website?

    @bcjasper09

    I'm not sure if we are allowed to post direct links to outside websites, but if you google search “wiley test bank free 24 hours” it comes up as the first result. It seems like you just have to give them your contact info (mwahahahaah!)

    I tried that CPAexcel trial the other day and I couldn't figure out how to get to the MCQ's so I didn't explore it much.

    This free trial for WTB is like a new toy. That is my life… getting excited about more study materials.

    Yeah. I also bought the Wiley Test Bank and the MCQ's are the same as Becker. They throw in a couple new questions, but nothing really new. I bought the Ninja Combo Lite pack and it kind of helped by making some things clear that Becker wasn't clear about.

    @AnnaMay

    Thanks for mentioning about the Ninja Notes. After purchasing it, I got through it all in one day. It wasn't strenuous because, like you said, it was repetitive from Becker. I thought i was going to spend a month with the Ninja Lite pack, but i got through it in one day. The audio and the notes. Haha..

    I love how short the audio is in the Ninja pack – perfect for a quick brush-up! (Also about as long as my drive to my testing center…)

    I'll have to look up CPAExcel's trial.

    I don't recall many differences in BEC from 2012 to 2013.

    I took the Becker classes and on all four parts felt there were questions on topics I'd never heard of. But I passed. I think with any review course you will feel that as there is just so much material. For FAR, my last exam, I supplemented Becker with CPAexcel. It was good to get another set of questions and I think the writing on CPA Excel is easier to understand than Becker.

    Best of luck to you!

    BEC: 75, how's that for luck??

    REG: 80

    AUD: 77

    FAR: 81, a miracle!

    Stupid CA Ethics exam: 84, 92 and doneeeeeee

    Licensed CA CPA

    B: 75
    R: 80
    A: 77
    F: 81
    Ethics: 84, 92 and done!

    @evesocal, You really threaded the needle on BEC! And WaaaHow! You are a licensed CA CPA. Thanks for coming back to the fold to help others into the boat.

    Curious did you go through all 239 sections of FAR in CPAexcel or just the MCQs and SIMs?

    Your comment about CPAExcel being easier to understand also gives me good affirmation that I choose the right review course.

    Did you use Ninja notes or audio or Wiley test bank or their books?

    Thanks for any response.
