Hey!

I’ll be taking BEC on the 29th and I’m really afraid. I didnt get much time to study and its the first time I’m taking this paper.
I’ve mastered COSO, Cost Accounting, Budgeting,Variance. Got IT to do and the Ratios

I’m thinking of leaving NPV and the cashflows, Basically the second chapter in the new Becker review course.

Will I be able to pass? I passed REG in Feb and I feel really helpless at the moment.

IT is much harder than the prep material. I would say review the IT content in your prep material , then review this post: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/bec-new-exam-it-and-tbs/

I would consider the IT part a vocabulary exercise beyond the small amount of COBIT stuff.

Then do MCQ until your eyes bleed. The ratios are important but the MCQ will reinforce those.

NPV and IRR are important by the way. Know the basics and the diffs. Cash flow – as long as you can get back to cash flow from NI and depreciation effect – you may be ok. No guarantee.

I would not skip NPV and cash flows as were several questions regarding NPV and cash flows on my exam. May want a bit of exposure at the very least.

Don't skip chapter 2. I made that mistake last time I took BEC. This time I reviewed it 2 + times. Did you take the Becker practice exam ?
