    Took BEC for the third time today, previous two takes made 70 both times. For my third attempt I used ninja notes, becker book, ninja mcq’s. Trending 87% at 138 hours study time, felt really good going into exam but really struggled with the exam. By no means do I feel like I bombed it but I dont think I passed. I took way too long on the multiple choice questions and only left myself 14 mins for the written part. Fortunately the topics weren’t difficult and I was able to type 3 decent paragraphs for each written question and although I didnt have time to go into as much detail as I would have liked I think I did pretty well for what little time I had. Anybody here ever failed when trending above 85%?

    Mcq's in BEC is 85% of the exam. If you do well, you probably don't even need the points from the WC.

    My test was literally all quantitative questions. I prepare well for IT and literally nothing on that. I am not even sure how i did. Bec was definitely harder than REG and AUD for me. We shall see. Starting FAR no matter what tomorrow. Mentally preparing for BEC again but I might have done better than i think.

    We should be fine, if not, then its not the end of our journey. Would hate to take it again but oh well what can we do.

    Finger crossed, and going to go out with friends just to take my mind off this test

    Same boat. I need to pass. Calculations are my nemesis. FAR and BEC. Come on already!

    AUD 88 (expired), 80 retake
    FAR 64,69,67,73,67,73,73,73, August 3
    REG 75 (expired) September 7
    BEC 72, 77

    The adventure continues...

    I'm with you guys. BEC has been the toughest one for me and all I had heard before the exam was that BEC was the easiest. I'm hoping I snuck by with a pass because I really don't want to have to study that material again.

    Remember, spelling counts on BEC. “Woe” is me. Or maybe you scored really, really well, in which case it will be “whoa” for you. 🙂

    But I think you'll do fine. Fortunately, even though you were short on time, BEC is the only one that you can pass purely by doing well don the MCQ.

    I just took BEC again on 7/11. My biggest struggle has been with the essay questions. It's hard to know exactly what they're looking for and it's hard not to overthink everything. At least as far as grammar and spelling, I feel very confident. I'm hoping for at least 5% on the essay questions and 80% on the MC.

    CPA (MN) officially NOW DONE AS OF 8/4/15:
    * FAR – 79 (11/2014)
    * BEC – 82 (1/2013; lapsed 2014), 71 (10/2014), 83 (7/11/15)
    * REG – 89 (11/2012; lapsed 2014), 79 (10/2014)
    * AUD – 74 (11/2013), 72 (4/2014), 89 (8/2014)

    Ethics - 91 (7/15/15)

    Used CPA Excel Silver and CPA Excel Iphone App. From 2012 to mid-2014 I was also in law school fulltime while working fulltime.

    @ruthnla – 48 hours until BEC. All I've heard is, don't worry about WC. But its hard to prepare for!

    Good luck everyone. I am taking BEC on 7/28 and I don't feel like it is hard, but there are so many formulas to memorize.
