    Hi everyone,
I am in my final review stage for BEC. God willing this is my last exam. However, I am feeling completely overwhelmed since none of the topics are related (such as audit).

Over the past 4 days I redid the COSO , Cost Accounting, and Financial Chapters hw of Becker. I am now going over more conceptual areas and redoing the hw problems for IT and Economics.

Is Chapter 6 important? Should I redo the hw problems for them as well or should I just quickly review my notes for Ch 6 since I’m pressed for time.

Is it normal to feel overwhelmed like this? Thinking of all the formulas I must know is extremely overwhelming. I am performing well on the mcq but that is after I study each section’s formulas in depth. I made a cheat sheet for the formulas in cost and financial. Did you feel the same way before BEC?

Were the questions as complex as beckers and did you find yourself memorizing more than you thought you did during the exam?

Thanks! There is a lot of pressure for me to be done with this godforsaken exam..

    PRAYING FOR A 75!

Also, Did you find having a formula sheet and reviewing it before your test help retain the information during the test? Thanks!

It helped grouping like formulas together. That way it felt like I was memorizing several at once.

Also, I would write the variance formulas and under each, express them in terms of unit conversions so you see how to get to $ minus $.

    Good luck.

I used notecards to review the formulas and little acronyms i made up in my head to remember the variance formulas. Hope this helps. You got this!!

Thanks guys! Took the exam today…calc questions generally went good but im sorta nervous bc some of the conceptual questions were a bit random and i had to make educated guesses. I made and studied formula sheets for each major section so that helped a lot. However i wish i went over the more conceptual stuff. Praying for that 75..only my last testlet seemed harder :/ now i have a mo to see if i have to take the new format in q2 or if ill actually be done!

@anyatver it wasnt horrible and i was able to recall some things i learned from my course. As long as you know how to write you should be ok.

Good luck, Im sure you did great.

Would you say your conceptual questions were heavy on IT or COSO or Econ?

    I take mine soon!

@queencpa i cant disclose details and since every exam is different i reccomend studying based on what the aicpa gives you as far as exam content percentages go. So econ it coso corp gov according to them is highly likely to be tested evenly so gain conceptual understanding of all subjects the aicpa says will be tested. Do you have becker? On the ch outlines it gives the percentage it makes up for the test and its pretty even across the board for each topic.

What I heavily reccomend is that you prepare formula study sheets for cost accounting finance and econ and misc stuff in ch 6 and nail them down. It helps a lot.

    Hello,

I started another forum asking the same thing but figured I would ask here too since you just took the exam. What do the test centers provide in terms of pencils, papers, calc. etc.?

    Thanks!

@jjjgolf500 they provide you everything you need. There is a good calculator on the computer and they give you plastic sheets and thin markers to do your work. All you need to do is have your gov issued id like a passport or drivers license and your notice to schedule
