MemberI am not sure what their ‘salutation' that we cant edit, maybe just the part that says “Dear.” … not sure though.
Because there is no simulation, besides the writing, I haven't done a practice exam, but have done multiple final progress tests. I do them with all topics and then isolate the ones I do poorly on. So for example, I know the biggest section is financial management, so in the progress test I chose only financial management and did a couple of them with 30 MCQs each.
When I do it with every chapter included, I average high 60s, low 70s. I know I am not well prepared for this section because of work and personal reasons I wasn't able to follow my study plan and fell way behind. I decided to get the NINJA Blitz and watched all those videos once I realized I did not have enough time to finish Becker videos and homework MCQs.
Really just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!
FAR - 84.
AUD - X,X,76.
REG - X,X,75.
BEC - X,X,74*, 81 AND IM DONE!!!!!!*if i dont pass, i lose FAR.
Study materials: Becker videos/MCQ/Books, NINJA Blitz helped to finally pass AUD and REG.

MemberHi. I am taking BEC at 9 tomorrow morning also. I studied using Becker and got a 77% on the second practice test. Has anyone taken it and the real exam and know if thats enough? Also, have any suggestions for last minute studying? I know I am comfortable with the math. I don't know how best to attack the conceptual holes.

MemberI took BEC on Friday. Used Becker. I thought the test was ridiculous, and 35%+ of it wasn't even in the Becker book or lectures. I could use process of elimination on most to get it down to 2 or 3, but after that it was a guess. I couldn't even find some of the question topics in the glossary or definitions. I know it isn't a product of me studying, because I read every page, listened the lecture, and summarized all the highlights by writing them out. This method got me a 99 on Audit.
Did anyone else have this issue?
AUD - 99 (10/18/13)
BEC - ?? (11/22/13)
REG - ?? (01/10/14)
FAR - ?? (sometime spring 2014)November 25, 2013 at 8:43 pm #483092HurricaneDitka

InactiveTook today and agree. I think the examiners made the test stupidly difficult this window since last window had a 65% pass rate. I walked in feeling like a winner….feel like a loser now.

ParticipantI just walked out of the test thinking, “Where did they pull those questions from?”
Testlet 1 was ridiculously easy.
Testlet 2 was hard
Testlet 3 was WTF
I had about 40 minutes for WC and really just BSed it all. Hopefully, my writing outshines my technical merit.
REG - 89
FAR - 84
AUD - 73, 86
BEC - 89GA Licensed CPA

MemberWhat did everyone think? I have read this on other forums, but I also saw some FAR questions on there. Luckily FAR was the last section I took. I also agree that it seems rather difficult and possibly because of the pass rates in the last testing period. I also do not like how Becker stresses that its not necessarily graded on “content/accuracy of statements” for the written section and one of the main points in the instruction is that the “technical” aspect is also graded for accuracy… anyone else feel the same?
I also feel like I BSed my written responses… as they didn't give much to go off of.
