So I haven’t stopped thinking about this exam since I took it the other day. I know how the testlets get harder depending on how you do, but with BEC, I thought harder would mean more computational questions. I had a lot more conceptual questions, so I’ve been wondering if others think a harder testlet could comprise of a lot more conceptual questions that have two to three possible answers, rather than computational problems?

I think you're comparing apples and oranges because computational versus conceptual varies in difficulty based on the tester more than anything else. For me personally, I much prefer computational because you can use logic to develop a forgotten formula but if you forget a concept, there's no way to back yourself into the answer.

Thanks @wizards! That definitely makes sense. I also find conceptual questions trickier…especially if Becker doesn't cover them. I just hope that the conceptual questions I had were considered “difficult” questions.

The reason I asked is because with the other exams I've sat for, I had a completely different testing experience, but I guess that's just the nature of BEC.

Yea, this is my main issue with BEC and it gives me a TON of anxiety. Honestly, it doesn't seem like it's getting harder, because there aren't as many computational questions as you think there are going to be. AUD is almost all qualitative questions so after passing that, this time taking BEC was a lot more mellow. Still, it's hard to walk out of that test and not be confused as to how you did, because it didn't seem to adapt and get harder. But hey! Maybe that just means we knew what we were doing!
