I’m using Becker for BEC and I finally got through all the lectures and HW (However, I haven’t even looked at the writing section cause I hear you can prepare for that in 1 day). I only have 5 days to review for when I take my exam on Thursday (Sept 8). I’ve scored on average about 65-70% on the HW…My current plan is to study all day Saturday and Sunday cramming all of the formulas and Mneumonics in my head, and rereading the conceptual topics again (IT, ECON, and Corporate Governance). On Monday, I’m going to take a practice exam to see how I’m doing and then study what my exam report says my weak areas are Mon and Tues. On Wednesday, the day before my exam, I’m planning on learning the format for the writing section and developing a game plan for how I’m going to write these essays.

Is it possible for me to pass with such a short amount of time to review and with 1 day reviewing for the writing section?

I am taking it the day before you (7th). My word of advice, since I just took my Audit exam today (2nd) — don't get overly worried. It sounds easier said than done but you want to be relaxed when you take the test so that you can think. I was so relaxed today and it sure as hell beats a worried mind. You can think clearly. Don't burn yourself out either. Take the practice exam tomorrow, not Monday, so that you will know what your weak areas are now, not later. It will also give you an estimation of how your time management skills are. Know your IT and COSO well is what everyone has been saying.

I think you have a good game plan. I take it on the 8th and I plan to take one practice exam tomorrow and one on Monday. In regard to the writing portion, as long as you feel comfortable having 15-20 minutes for each memo you should be okay. As for me, I am worried about the writing part haha. I don't consider myself a bad writer, but I know that I am not a fast writer. Oh well, I'll just have to try my best.

Hello, everyone!

I just took my first BEC becker practice exam and have my test scheduled for Friday. I did fairly well on the practice (got a 91) but felt like some of the questions I had already seen before on the homework assignments. Any tips on how to effectively prepare for the BEC exam? thanks so much!

I won't get my score back until Sept. 20. I have no idea if I passed or not. I scored a 64 on the Becker practice exam 2 days before, so I have my fingers crossed.
