These are just my thoughts after coming out of BEC today, nothing specific:
-Generally not feeling good about my performance, the “easiest” exam of the 4 seems to require nothing more than rote memorization, which I’m not particularly good at. I’m better making the pieces of a puzzle logically fit together. It honestly felt like more bare knuckle memorize/regurgitate than REG.– I’m hopeful that the space they initially give you to write an essay is about the length of what they expect you to write. Otherwise I’m praying for good guesses on the COSO MCQs and 4 strong TBSs.
– Roger CPA needs to be updated with meatier COSO and tech chapters. I think the 2018 version of Roger glossed over these areas not hitting a couple key ideas to understand. (He literally has a section called “Gloassary” for IT that he fully admits is a once over of terms that may/may not appear on the exam. I’ve had good luck with Rodger for FAR AUD and REG, passed all 3 on first try. I’m way more rightfully neverous about BEC. I shouldnt have 2 MCQs where after diligently going through all the material I’m thinking “I have no idea what they are asking for or talking about, choice C it is!!!!!”I’ll be reviewing up till score release day with Rodger. If I failed I’m open to suggestions for a more complete BEC review
