Hey everyone,

Starting to get really stressed out. My exam is in a week and I haven’t really studied that much. I’m hoping to hear about some of you that crammed for the exam and ended up passing. I could really use some extra motivation at this point. Any tips would also be very helpful!

For what it's worth, I studied here and there for a few weeks, read some of the book, copied the Ninja flashcards, semi-seriously ran them with friends, etc. but didn't really hit it until about a week before my exam. Test bank all the way – some have said the Ninja one is excellent (I found it to be excellent for FAR!), but I just had Wiley for my BEC exam as I was down to the wire and in a budget constraint (already had Wiley from my original materials purchase, otherwise totally would have bought Ninja!).

Bottom line – run MCQs like there's no tomorrow and you should have a shot at it. Search this thread for tips on the WC items – I didn't study them but read my book for tips and used the forum for tips. Came away with a pass – not a stellar score, but a pass is a pass. Good luck! 🙂

Are you working? If not, 1 week is more than enough to study for BEC. Just study 10 hours M-F and that's 50 hours, plus whatever you got done today, then maybe make it a lighter day the day before your exam if you feel the need to refresh your brain.

EDIT: Just saw your exam date, so you could do 10-hour days Mon-Sat, take it light Sun, and be in good shape for an exam Monday – probably 70+ hours of study counting today, which is more than BEC really needs, but will be lower-quality by the end of a 10-hour day, so probably just about right when you count that in. Just go for max efficiency – ditch the lectures, use the book and practice questions (MCQs mostly for BEC). If you have poor writing skills, you'll need to do extra good on the MCQs to balance out the WC; however, I don't think there's much point in practicing the WC in that short of a window, because they largely test English composition skills that can't be trained in a week.
