October 2, 2016 at 9:03 pm #850801caotranParticipant@RE2PECT, we are all waiting for your updates tomorrow. Would appreciate it if you let us know how your test goes tomorrow. Especially if it is still mostly COSO, IT, Econ…
October 3, 2016 at 10:06 am #851023DISLCPAParticipantRetaking in 2 weeks. I had taken in Aug and failed. I believe it was my fault got really discouraged 5 questions in and pretty much gave up. Using different study material and seem to be more relaxed studying and feeling more confident. hopefully, I can get a pass so I can feel somewhat on the road and to move on to another section. Anyone who takes it within the next 2 weeks, please post thoughts.

REGOctober 3, 2016 at 10:43 am #851053Sticky NickyParticipantanyone take BEC in Q4 yet? I failed w a 72 a few weeks back. Retake in 7 days. Originally used Roger and Ninja. Now i've been plowing through Becker HW MCQs but they seem to focus on alot of calc problems, which I didnt see much of on the actual exam. Wondering if its heavy IT and IC.

REG - 80October 3, 2016 at 4:47 pm #851463RE2PECTParticipantTook it today for the third and hopefully last time. Wasn't as IT/COSO heavy as past exams, but it had a bunch of tricky calc questions. First testlet seemed pretty easy, but the second one was nuts. Flagged maybe 8 or 9 and had no clue on at least 5 of them. The third one had some tough ones as well, but didn't seem as hard as the second.
The IT questions seemed more straightforward than past exams and didn't include a bunch of foreign terminology. Had maybe 3 that used terms I wasn't sure of, but was able to make an educated guess. The COSO questions weren't too bad, but there were a couple that may have tripped me up. It's frustrating because I knew what they were asking about, but never seen it asked that way.
I feel the WC's will be the deciding factor if I'm going to take it again or not. I swear I have no luck with them and keep getting random topics that are tough to answer. I had about 50 minutes and wish I gave myself an extra 10 for them.
Overall I felt better about this one than when I got my 73, but you never know with this exam. I'm just happy I can move on to REG and study something totally new.

I'm not strong at calculations and writing. What is your advice ? Are there more cost accounting or Econ or finance ?
I am not sure how to prepare for writing either.October 3, 2016 at 7:24 pm #851608AnonymousInactive@RE2PECT I say you passed
October 3, 2016 at 10:03 pm #851725Sticky NickyParticipantOctober 3, 2016 at 11:29 pm #851809demarconParticipantI took BEC today. That was infinitely harder than AUD. They go into such small detail on some things that it drove me nuts. Economics and IT definitely screwed me. I'm assuming I'll either be retaking in January or March. I already have an NTS to take FAR in February, so I might have to retake in March since you can't cancel an NTS to extend your date.
October 4, 2016 at 9:28 am #851973RE2PECTParticipant@Sticky Nicky- Sorry I can't get into specifics. Anything is fair game when it comes to them and that's why they're so frustrating.
&demarcon- When is the last possible day you can take FAR? I would try and get BEC done before the changes. The new exam is going to have sims and I can only imagine how tough those are going to be.
