I just found out I failed AUD… got my score report and I was ‘Stonger’ on every sinlge area and weaker on the simulations… and I still FAILED!!! Oh well, I guess there’s nothing I can do at this point but take a couple days off and get to studying again. Congrats to all who passed, and for those of us with less luck, LET’S GET IT NEXT TIME!!! It’s such a horrible feeling when you’re an auditor and you fail AUD…I’m sure my boss will be impressed LOL

Sorry you didn't get your passing score. More importantly, thank you for just accepting it without trying to blame something or someone. It's refreshing to see that. Seems like there has been a lot of complaining in this score release window. Good luck next time!

@NECain- Maybe he should blame someone. I'm telling you, on my AUD exam, I breezed through the MCQs and guessed ALL of my Sims and passed with an 87. No exaggeration. In fact, I had to rush through my last two Sims because I was running short on time, so I just had to just pick any answer without reading the questions and end the exam before the timer ends it. This is a very funny grading process. Maybe it's less curved this window???

I can very well relate to CPAMan, about my experience with audit as well.

Jenun…on my grade report i only had 2 stronger and the rest all comparable and weaker in simulations and i recd a 78. My testlets were very ok, avergae difficulty. SIMS were a mess, had 3 FARE on me. Just did some guess work on it. It goes to show, that you never know…I for one, can't understand this scoring process…..

Thanks for the support you guys… It's very easy to blame everyone and everything for my failing score, but I see no point in doing so…I received my score report this morning (I had not checked my score at NASBA), so I opened the PDF and quickly skipped to the 2nd page so I could see the performance firsr and not my score…I was so excited to see I was Stronger in all categories and Weaker on SIMS…I thought yay! I am so going to see at least an 80! Then yeah, saw my failing score and was extremely sad for about 5 minutes and just got over it…God must think it's not my time to pass yet, which I am totally fine with, I accept it and am even more motivated to get through this!

jenuno01..im in the same situation…my performance report was same as yours everything Stronger except for SIMS…leaving the test center I truly thought I would score at the least an 80…i knew all the MCQs and I;ve had such a hard time trying to comprehend why I got a 74….this was my third time taking AUD…Ive been working as an auditor for almost 5 years now…its been disheartening to say the least… but come monday I plan to delete my failures and jump back into studying AUD again….. congratulations to all who don't have to go through this anymore..and good luck to the rest of us…

On every exam except for Audit, I generally left the test feeling approximately how I scored. I knew when I failed and I knew when I scored well.

But for Audit, I thought I aced the exam with a 90…at least an 85. I was VERY surprised to see a 78. Still very glad, but I didn't do nearly as well as I thought. The curve on this exam is very tricky I think. And the sims suck big time.

But good luck to everyone in 2012, if I can do it, so can you!

I am in the same fail boat as well 🙂 Its frustrating but the bottom line is that I didn't study hard enough. Going at it again in Feb, changing a few things up, and hoping it'll bring better results.

I had the same feeling as nuclear. I left feeling good about it. I thought I could get a high 80. Instead, I got a 81. Still I was very happy to see it. I scored stronger on MCQs but weak on SIMs. Yes. Weak. I knew I was struggling on SIMS, but I though I gave my best answers.

@Jenuno — when you answer the SIMS questions, please ensure to utilize the Research tab. Since you don't have problems on the MCQs, make room for SIMS. I had two hours left for my AUD SIMs. I finished SIM in an hour and used the rest an hour to double check everything. Guess what, I got my research answer right the very last minute. I hate SIMs!

@CPA-Convertible thanks for the advice… that's what got my on AUD, I rushed through the SIMS thinking they were easy and didn't feel the need to review my answers.. next time for sure I will use every sinlge minute available to make sure I get everything right.

@nuclear3579 – I felt the same way about AUD! I thought I at least got an 80… even a 90! I felt great coming out of it. But when my score came, I got a 78. I was shocked. Don't get me wrong – I was thrilled to have passed. I just thought that I had done better.
