I’ve read by many that its not worth the time and cost to challenge a score, yet after receiving a 72 last week, and getting the paper score in the mail yesterday, I’m even more confused and frustrated.

When you fail, the back of your score tells, your weak areas. Well, they indicated my weaknesses is in the written communication, and I have check marks of either Comparable or Stronger in everything else.

This is my last section, and although I have 2 more chances before losing credit on FAR, does anyone think its worth trying to challenge?

Jeff has indicated that your chances of still failing are about 99.9999%. Unfortunately, the grading process isn't transparent enough to look at each of your sections and determine whether or not you should have passed. Also, from reading prior posts, I really think the written communications weigh heavily on your score. I think if you score weak in that area, there is a good chance you will fail. I have read several posts from people who say they have guessed on a majority of m/c questions, but taken their time and nailed both written communications in the sims and have come out with a passing grade.

Yeah, it just plain sucks.

The M/C are reportedly 70% of the exam score, and I'm ‘Stronger' in that area. And the written communication is 10% of the score process.

I knew I didn't do the best on the written part compared to FAR and Reg. It wasn't so much as drawing a blank on it, but didn't feel the question warranted a too complex explanation of what needed to be done.

I have the same question. My performance is below & I received a 73. I have scanned my report & emailed it to Jeff, he was going to try to see if he could get a response from the AICPA about mine. Due to my AUD being a 73 & not a passing score, I lost BEC. I would have been done otherwise. I'm not expecting mine to change & won't challenge mine if they say I can take the chance by appealing but I thought I'd let Jeff give it a whirl. (So thankful I'm a Club 75 member & found this blog!)

I'm tempted to email my score report to my state BOA & see what they say. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

If I had to study again I wouldn't know what to do different. I know I studied enough and I know I aced one of my sims and they must have taken the one I know I didn't do well on. It is not fair they only grade one! Also I don't know how to study anymore for the sims. Everyone I talk to or everything I read says there is no way to prepare….I hate this test! Any advice from anyone is appreciated!!!! and any postive comments lol I'm dying here!

I haven't heard a single person have success with challenging their score. The process seems to be long and a waste of time. Since you are so close to losing your other score I think you should put all you can into AUD and try again. I got a 72 on my first time at AUD and am terrified of failing it again but I am finishing prep right now to take it tomorrow again.

jaks and semi, i hear you. I got a 74 in AUD the second time and got similar result stats. You got to get back on the horse. AUD Final Review with live instructor got me over the finish line. She gave me five points that just made sense. Good luck.
