ParticipantOne feature I do like is that I am able to copy and paste the right or wrong answer into a word doc so I don't have to write all my notes and then retype. Kudos to that.
BUT, the who reporting issue I just mentioned is really bad. Any idea on when the #1 priority will be updated?

Participant@Wiley answer guy !
Thanks for the info. It helped. It just seems so cumbersome to go back and have to change the right answers back to the wrong answers so that you can really know how you did.
Weird thing happening now is that I can't see the “start” “cancel” button to start my next practice session, so I am stuck. I guess it is time for a dinner break. But UGH! I guess I can go to test mode or pop quiz mode, but I like to methodically do all the q's in a section then move on till I am done…..sorry, I guess you don't need all the superfluous info ;P

Participant@yankeeaccountant keep it coming — nothing is superfluous. I'll share a date for the scoring update (score first answer in Practice Session and Pop Quiz) when I have a solid time line. For Practice Test mode the scoring would continue to use “final answer” — that's what users would want, correct?

ParticipantHey Wiley Guy!
I thought I would pass on a “good thing”. I started a practice session early this morning and had to leave for a few hours and then I came back and jumped right in without getting bounced out!! Before, if you paused for a few minutes, you might run the risk of getting knocked out. Yahoo!
Not sure I understand your last comment above. But I would be happy to see that the Practice sessions getting scored on the first answer. Any way to show all the answers upon selecting an answer? I like how that was before. It also seemed like Wiley showed more of why something was wrong before and now there is alot of “wrong answer” instead of an explanation.
Thanks!

MemberThe clock is really slow when I take practice tests. Any chance you can fix that? I end up using a timer on my phone to keep track of time.
February 10, 2012 at 3:28 pm #339509Wiley CPA Exam Review
Participant@ Thx for the good thing thing. Jeff posted a good video of how to move through questions with feedback on each answer quickly (tip: use the escape key to close the explanation box):
CLOCK TIMER STARTS AND STOPS – INTENTIONALLY
The clock runs while you’re on the question. When the explanation pop-up pops up, the time stops (let’s you read time-free). When you close the explanation box, it starts again. This ensures the clock records the time you're actually taking to answer questions (like on a test) versus studying. The clock also stops during the short transition after you hit “next” and move to the next question. So the Test Bank timer is slower than a constantly running timer.

ParticipantYankee I just typed to you in the other thread. I didn't know Wiley 2012 has different questions?? I'm still working off of 2011 test bank (for AUD) because of all the complaints about Wiley 2012 software
AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58February 12, 2012 at 10:22 pm #339512yankeeaccountant
Participantsorry I missed ur post. The questions seem different to me. I think you are fine for Audit with the 2011 testbank, frankly I would still be using the 2011 testbank, but mine expired (ok, no laughing, yes, I have had it THAT long!!) so I had to buy another one and since they already rolled out the new one, I just took it. I wish I had gotten the old one. Mainly because I am so used to it, I feel like it takes me forever to do mcq's now. But overall the questions seem to be harder to me.

ParticipantCrossposting below from a diff thread — we get this question a lot …
2012 TEST BANK — NUMBER OF MCQ BY MODULE (SUBTOPIC)
The 2012 Test Bank does show how many questions there are for each module (section sub-topic). Inactive@ Wiley –
There is one recommendation I would like to make. Would it be possible to make it so you can edit the Name of the Practice Session after you have already saved it? The first several sessions I did, I used the default name and now I wish I had been more descriptive.
Also, I happened to notice that in the above post you said “Evidence” under Audit has 200 questions, but it's actually 247. I discovered that 200 is the max you can choose per session, but I had to do an extra session with 47 questions for that Module.
Thanks so much for taking the time to help us with the new version and to consider our feedback! That's the sign of a great company!

Participant@apbandj good idea on renaming — I will check on that. It might be that tech team needed a fixed way to manage sessions when the offline player rolls out since the two sessions will need to sync back and forth. And thanks for correction on Evidence MCQ count!

MemberI would like there to be an IRFS section. All the IFRS for all the modules in one place. Thank you.

ParticipantERRORS
We responded on a different thread https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/wiley-2012-test-bank-have-errors?replies=5#post-149466
“Hi All, sorry to hear you're finding errors — if you can post the QUESTION ID and ERROR DESCRIPTION here we'll reward any confirmed errors with free Wiley review products — books, apps, or Test Bank sections, your choice.
We know you're busy and have other things on your mind but if you do see an error and can post it — or email it to testbankfeedback@wiley.com we'll hook you up with free stuff.
Fyi all the questions are checked every year and while there are always some there's no reason the number should be high. Sometimes we check reported errors and re-affirm the the answer but we're happy to check.”

InactiveFAR Simulation 65
It's a true or false sim and the first statement reads:
“1. Other comprehensive income may be presented in the statement of changes in stockholders' equity.”
The graded sim says this is false. I'm pretty sure that this is definitely true and one of the three ways that other comprehensive can be presented.
