    I'm not to crazy about how the sims are graded. For example, I just did a sim on monetary current assets and current liabilities, I answered the question completely right, but because I didn't put percentage symbols, it marked it completely wrong.

    Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

    Yeah I did a sim and answered 2 for one of the boxes and was marked wrong because the correct answer was 2.0. It doesn't really bother me though since I know I still worked the problem correctly.

    The old version was much more user friendly and cpa exam studying friendly. It wasn't broke, so I don't know why it had to be fixed?! I was able to take notes right when I selected an answer, now I have to search or play around and find out why. They had a good thing going, its a shame to see it disappear.

    After waiting for 30 mins to chat with customer service (tech support) not once but twice i finally am able to get on to the testbank.

    Just did a practise test with 30 MCQs and 2 sims. I got one sims completely right and the other partially right with like 5 wrong out of 50 tabs and was told i got a 70% and failed because i only got one sims right.

    So now i realize that the sims are either completely right or completely wrong on the testbank, no partial credit is given for sims is this correct?

    Overall it is not bad, the new format is the same format as BISK CPA which i used before so it is not bad. Just upset about the sims.

    Anyone else loving how the choices are not in alphabetical order? Is this supposed to serve a purpose or is it a programming error?

    Yeah its annoying how the letters are in weird orders, its killing me having to click through everything multiple times or run through reports to figure out what the answers are, being able to see why all of the answers are right or wrong with one click is faster and provides better feedback and ability to understand the concepts better.

    AAAAAHHHHH!!!

    Not used to the new testbank. First off, how many questions are there in REG? Secondly, is there no way to see the answer immediately after finishing the question? So, I have to go to reports and review the test, or homework to see what I got wrong or right??? ugh!

    BEC — 660 MCQ, 17 WCS

    FAR — 1454 MCQ, 66 TBS

    REG –1164 MCQ, 40 TBS

    Re instant feedback — it's there (“Practice Session” mode only). You need to “turn on” feedback (“!” icon) and hit next question to see it:

    So there isn't a way to avoid having to hit next question over and over to see if you got the right answer with feedback?

    Another question I have is…I did a 20 minute practice session. I used the feedback tool to see what answers I got right and wrong. When I got done with the practice session, all report had all correct answers (100% right) as opposed to the actual score I should have recieved (75% right). The reason for this was the feedback option required me to click the right answer to get the explanation. When I advanced to the next question, the system assumed I got it right so the report showed me getting 100% of the questions right. So if I understand this mechanism correctly, I will have to click the right answer to see the explanation and THEN click the wrong answer before proceeding to make sure my reports are correct so I know where to concentrate my studies? If that's true then that IS MESSED UP!

    @mopena14 Any answer with A, B, C, D out of order is not intentional. We used a more robust randomizer compared to 2011 and for some answers the letters were incorrectly randomized with the answer text. We're working on fixing these. (We welcome anyone posting question IDs here to speed our identifying them.)

    @jjm1181 Yes that is how the system is currently being scored — based on last answer chosen, not first answer chosen. This is our #1 priority update.

    @undeniabletwins2 Sims should be scoring with partial credit a they did in the 2011 test bank. Please post the specific sims here if you would like us to look into the ones you think did not score correctly.

    I am starting to prepare for REG come Saturday and I must say I am nervous and disappointed with the 2012 Wiley software. For a while I was feeling good knowing I would have a friends 2011 test bank but now I see on Wiley's site that the 2011 version will be discontinued come this spring…smh

    Thanks for the updates, Wiley.

    I appreciate that you're taking candidate feedback.

    @jeff thx

    @rknight21
    The honest feedback is appreciated — what's got you nervous? You have a little while to still use the 2011 platform (deff Feb and March).

    SIMS DO HAVE PARTIAL SCORING

    From out tech team: “The grading is based upon the collective score of all the correct options. So for e.g. if an Auditing simulation (that has a total 9.5 marks) has 10 options to fill up, each option will carry equal weight, so each option will carry 0.95 marks in this case. All simulations, from any subject work in a similar fashion and none of them has all-or-nothing grading.”
