Why is Audit so annoying..?

    Honestly,

I really thought BEC was really annoying but when I completely finished studying BEC, I had more confidence in passing which I did. In audit, everything is so damn subjective. I put about 6 weeks in at 5-6 hours a day + 10-12 on weekends and the crushing blow to my knees was when I got my score back. I think if I failed higher then a 59, lets say a 70, I wouldn’t have been blown away.

My strategy was as follows: Listen to lecture, review section, questions. Once I was complete with all chapters, I did like 400 30 question practice exams just to test my timing and I would be well under my time req’ed. Granted, my scores weren’t always above a 80 or even 75.

I believe this section of the CPA exam is just so boring…………

Any suggestions on how to kick audit’s rear end in and pass with a 75?

Just came to say I know how you feel. I'm more of a calculation kind of guy in that I disliked blaw more than tax for REG and Gov't/NFP more than bonds for FAR, so I'm really struggling getting through the material for AUD. It all just feels like BS.

I've been keeping a list of all the mnemonics that Becker provides which I think has helped me memorize some of the more important points.

    Good luck!

    F - 86
    R - 90
    A - 97
    B - 91

Yea, I would do BEC over AUD any day of the month + olinto was a 10x better instructor to watch during the videos. Gearty literally drains the life out of my soul — sometimes ..

I think keeping track of the mnemonics would maybe help me remember some important areas. Will definitely try that.

    Good luck
