when do we increase/decrease the test of controls? - Page 3

    the way I understand it, the test of controls comes after we have determined audit risk (rmm + detection risk)

    I also understand that an increase/decrease in control risk will result in a decrease/increase in detection risk respectively, which will increase/decrease the amount of substantive tests respectively

    but does this also mean that an increase/decrease in substantive tests will result in a decrease/increase in test of controls? (respectively)

    its not a slap in the face to anyone. There's no such thing as an honorable fail. There is no difference between a 74 and a 24, neither person was prepared and failed it.

    If you had half a brain you might have been able to comprehend why I was so upset at becker but let me put it in the most basic of terms for you

    1) I read through all of becker

    2) I was getting 80-90% of their MCQ correct the first time through

    3) My score did not reflect my knowledge

    Put two and two together you imbecile.

    Can you comprehend the irony of your own post? You strated a thread asking someone to elaborate about the relationship between tests of controls and substantive testing (an inherently simple concept), but yet, you maintain your position that your score didn't reflect your vast level of knowledge in Audit! I think from now on, I'm gonna call you, “Short Bus”. I don't even know why you're here…no one likes you, you're dumber than dog sh*t, and you argue with the very people you seek advice from. Congratulations, you're nothing but a skidmark on the whitey tighteys of Another71.com.

    @goodluck – An “honorable” fail as you so describe it has nothing to do with what score you achieve on the exam. Simply put, it has to do with how you conduct yourself after receiving your fail. Try to learn something from someone like @keeptrying. Despite her fails, she conducts herself with honor and class. I would hire her in a second over some cocky 23 year old who blames everyone else and takes no responsibility. Again, this business is all about interaction and how you conduct yourself. You still have a LONG way to go.

    Regarding Becker, you yourself said you studied for 25 hours from .pdfs of the book. This is clearly not sufficient, even if you seem to have been doing well in the multiple choice. As someone mentioned in another thread, reading the book and doing three multiple choice questions directly after reading that material is not a reasonable test of your understanding and comprehension. You need to completely retool your study methods if you want to get this done. I also suggest you retool your attitude.

    C'mon people, I see both constructive criticism and name calling from both new people and some of the so called vets on this forum. I don't care about your how long you've been on here or your status on this board, quite frankly it's ridiculous, let it die already. Some of you are more cranky than my 2 year old daughter when she's been up all day and refuses to nap.

    Goodluck, if your behavior at work is even the tiniest bit like your behavior here, I'd imagine you're just as wrong about your coworkers loving you as you were about your level of preparedness for AUD. Yes, you've proven you can't accept any responsibility, but what should be particularly embarassing to you is how childish and immature you are. You basically just pulled the cyber version of sticking your fingers in your ears, humming, and saying “I'm not listening!!!” I'm SHOCKED to find out you're as old as 23.

    At this point, you've done so much damage to yourself in this community, your only option is to get another username and start all over.

    @mla

    I wasnt the one to turn this into a troll thread. I just asked a question about audit and I got see pee a lecturing me. And then mini/baseball throwing themselves in (as usual).

    I couldnt care less, I havent read 90% of the posts in this thread that didnt pertain to my OP.
