@Skippy – Can I call you Skippy? I like the name Skippy. Okay, so he's what you should do:
1. Watch the Becker lecture.
2. Do the homework questions for that lecture.
3. If you dont understand the material, actually read through that portion in the book.
4. At the end of the Chapter, open up the other software and do all, yes all, of the simulations. A lot of people will say the simulations are bad, focus on the MCQ, blah blah blah. Those are the people that score Stronger on MCQ and Weaker on SIMS and end up with a 74. You need to be well-rounded (SIMS are worth 40% of your grade) and while I agree that you will not likely see a SIM on the exam that is identical to your review course, the SIMS review will help you tremendously.
5. After you do 2-3 chapters, go back and skim the prior chapters for the key points to keep it fresh, then move on to the next chapter.
6. After you get through all the lectures and homework, take your first Becker final exam. This should be 2 weeks before your exam. This will give you a gauge as to whether you can spend the time doing questions and reviewing or if you need to push back your exam a little bit and go through all the material again.
7. Assuming you did ok on the final exam (i'd say in the 60s is fine), then you can enter your review stage. Do a ton of multiple choice questions, some SIMS, and review your notes. Focus on the areas that are giving you problems.
8. Buy the NINJA Notes. These are great for review in the last two weeks. A lot of the material is going to be overlap from BEcker, but it is WAY more concise and it is worded differently, so it should reinforce the concepts.
9. One week before your exam date, take the 2nd final review. This may break your confidence a little bit, but it is good practice. The real exam will be worded differently, of course, but it will not be harder than the 2nd Becker final exam.
10. Keep reviewing and doing MCQ the last week of the exam.
I definitely recommend getting the Wiley test bank. Whenever you have some free time, do questions. You wont always want to listen to lectures or you wont always be at home. You can use Wiley on your phone (assuming you have internet) and it is great on the go. I admittedly used it a lot while I was driving. Whoops. Anyway, do both the multiple choice questions and the SIMS.
This process is not easy. You have to be willing to put in the time and make the effort. DO NOT CUT CORNERS. If you cut corners, you will greatly increase your chance of failure. Dont do it. Work hard and you will be rewarded.
