I have just completed the Audit section for the second time today…(71 on the first, really not hoping for another). I completed Becker the fist time and did Becker AND Yeager this time. I just dont think i passed- the exam did not get harder or longer with words. The Becker materials seem outdated for the audit material and found out that Audit is yeagers “weakest” area…

This is my last section and really dont want to have to take it with the changes in Jan…so…

If you had one chance to pass..what would you do??

I'm reading the Wiley book cover to cover and working all the multiple choice for Planning, Internal Control, and Evidence. I'm hoping that is enough.

I used Becker and Gleim testbank. Reviewed each lecture 2 times, read the text one time, homework 2 times and the Gleim questions at least once – many areas 2 times. Also, reviewed the flashcards for each area. On my exam – there did not appear to be any areas that had not been covered by Becker or the Gleim MCQ. Just keep going through the material and take progress tests.Any weak areas – skimmed the book to bolster that area.

When I do the Gleim MCQ – I do them in study mode and read all solutions – there is a lot of useful information in the solutions. If you passed the other areas you can do this. Good luck!

Hopefully you will get good news and won't have to worry about it.

osumarine – I thought Becker did a good job of preparing me for audit…I just must not have answered “the most correct answer”. A co-worker of mine took it at the same time as me and used Wiley 2009 and got a perfect 99, so the book can't be too outdated and it's from last year.

Do you feel you didn't pass bc the questions were from left field? Or do you think you didn't grasp the concepts as well as you should have? If you think the questions were bogus (like mine were for BEC), get a different book and/or buy a testbank CD, the Q's are different. I bombed BEC with Becker so now I'm using Yaeger. If that doesn't work this time (but hopefully it will), then it's on to another book.

    REG 79 (Becker); BEC 63 (Becker) 70 (Yaeger); AUD 66 (Becker; 11/30 - Becker); FAR 11/24 (Yaeger/Wiley)

Hey, when you're talking about gleim test bank, are you talking about this?

Or is there a separate product with JUST the multiple choice? I've got about 2 weeks to cram audit, so I thought I'd ask.

That is the name of the product at the Gleim website and their prices. It looks Jeff indicates the Wiley testbank can be purchased online too.

Another product that I found that is useful is the Post-It highligher with small flags all built into one highlighter. I flag homework problems I would like to redo and this product useful. Less time trying to find things 😉

Does anyone know — are the Wiley Online testbank ($259/year) and the Wiley Testbank CDs ($79/section and included with Yeager) the same thing?

From my understanding the Wiley Online questions are the same as the software.

Since we are talking about Wiley here I figure Id jump in. I have a Wiley CD that I barely used, as in probably worked 10 questions, and I believe I got it really cheap or free. Is it worth spending my time with?? The CD cover says “Wiley CPA Examination Review Practice Software 13.0, Complete Set. Denaney/Whittington” and its printed on a blank cd disk sticker, like a “make your own cd label” kind of thing. Comes in the cheapest cd case you can get with no front or back cover. I was thinking of using it as a supplemental for my primary material Becker but the software looks like my 7th grade cousin made it. and yea I know its all about the questions given and not how it looks but damn I would like to use my time efficiently.

CPA journey- thanks for the advice – and the support…i will look into gleim next

FL_CPA2010…i really cant say there were any questions that through me off…and I guess that is whats killing me. All the other exams I walked out of the exam frustrated because there were questions and simulations that I was not familiar with and was not prepared for- and i passed. Both becker and yaeger/wiley i was avg between 88-90% on all mcq. But will agree that BEC was a joke w becker – no idea how i passed that. Hope yaeger gives you better insight

“Hey, when you're talking about gleim test bank, are you talking about this?”

This is Gleim Online, which includes Gleim Test Bank.

AUD is a tricky word test and it kicked my butt. I needed to work a minimum of 3,000 multiple choice questions for AUD before I got a handle on AUD. I think that I worked more multiple choice questions for AUD than all of the other CPA exams combined.

I used Yaeger Cram and I answered more questions in the Wiley book than Gary reviewed. Additionally, I used Gleim Online/Test Bank for AUD. I think that I passed my last AUD exam, thanks to DR. Phil Yaeger and Yaeger AUD Cram. I only had 8 days to study and I think that the Yaeger AUD Cram did the trick.

If you really did not understand AUD, like me, Garland with Lambers is the best teacher. Garland is even a better teacher than the Becker instructor. However, at some point you have to abandon the review courses and do a minimum of 3,000 multiple choice questions in Wiley and Gleim.

I thought that BEC was Becker's weakest review course. Yaeger, on the other hand, was the best review course for BEC. Cindy reviewed a very complicated problem in the Wiley book that was on my BEC exam. No other review course, including Becker, mentioned that problem. When I got a simplified version of that problem on my BEC exam, I knew that I would pass the BEC exam!
